I like that these are not the ordinary super thin shorts. These are thicker, inline with Walter hagen shorts. The pockets are zippered and at the traditional angle, so they feel nice to use. The material is very comfortable and soft. It's a stretchy dry fit style material. I gave 4 stars because I have several loose threads and a few pull/snags and that's after about 10 minutes of wearing them. I think these are a decent value for anyone looking for an affordable gold style short. I do like that the pockets are zippered. And at an angle. I know that may sound weird, but I have gotten shorts that I love from Amazon, with straight up/down pockets, it feels unusual to put my hands in. These are lined with a soft material, at least on the pockets. Overall, I like the shorts. I think there may be some quality control with assembly that needs to take place. As far as the snags/pulls, this type of blended stretchy fabric does that. If you know this going in, then these are great shorts and I would recommend them. They are extremely comfortable. I also like that the waistband is elastic. These are a great easy on/off paur of shorts to wear casually with an untucked shirt of choice. Dressed up or down.
