Even rebooted my phone. No matter how you plug it in, with the iPhone video app open, closed, power down the phone and tried it plugged in at boot up, Same result. The video app glitches out, uncontrollably taking 1 second videos. Have to unplug the mic to make it stop. Never even pressed record. Tried 3 different dongles. This is a garbage product

This is a very handy little mic and it picks up sound really well. The windguard makes it suitable for using outdoors as well. A word of warning though, if you are also using the Joby capture remote which comes with their gorilla pods, it occassionally will not work because it uses a signal like "volume down" to activate the shutter and when the microphone is plugged in to your phone, in the headset socket or usb port, this can disable that feature.
