I was disappointed with the bushing, it was plastic. The previous pulley bushing was metal and press fitted into the pulley. The old pulley split and I ordered a replacement sans the bushing figuring to use the bushing from the old pulley. Apparently John Deere changed the spec on the bearing and the old bushing was too small. I don't know what the durability of the bushing is as I suspect it's sole purpose is to center the pulley on the bolt. Currently the pulley is being held in place by two thick washers squeezing the bearing race. I've used the new set up for 20 minutes and it seems to be adequate. I would have preferred a press fit metal bushing.
