I always put nickel-wound steel strings on my acoustic because I love the tone so much, never been a fan of the tones which come off of bronze. Unfortunately, that has meant near constant tuning almost every time I pick up my beloved acoustic, that is until these strings. With these I might tune my guitar once a week and that is with daily playing. The tone is the same beautiful clean tone you would expect from the electric strings, but with more voice and less work to maintain the tune.I will not buy any other strings for my acoustic, these are perfect.

Got these for my Fender Highway acoustic which has a magnetic pickup since nickel strings have more output than the standard acoustic phosphor- bronze. I dont detect an increase in output but the tone is brighter than phosphor-bronze.

The quality of these strings are wonderful. The tone is beautifully balanced. These are perfect strings for blues style music.

I had elixirs on my Taylor 214 but, they were not for me. I normally use an electric but, played a Taylor and like what I heard. The sellers of the Taylor recommended Elixirs so I put them on my guitar. But, I wasn't satisfied with them. The Elixirs were 11's but I put John Pearce 12's on and I feel I now have what I was looking for. Nice feel and good sound...

Great sounding strings but I received 2 D strings (.032) and no G (.024). I wasn't too happy about that.

Have a very balanced tone. Put these on my new Blueridge br-180,( after trial and error with four other brands of strings), and these were the perfect match. You will not be disappointed.

First, I’m an intermediate getting more advanced (not to be confused with professional) guitarist. I gave a five for longevity as natural strings. Coated strings will obviously last longer but these seem to last as long as uncoated strings would be expected to maintain their tone. For brightness, I did the same, as they deliver what I wanted the brightness of the string to be. I played with nanoweb elixirs and they are brighter and last longer. These strings are amazing. I had ghs and D’Addario standard issue strings. I always replace with Elixirs. The idea of a coating seeps in as something as more of an adjunct to natural acoustic tone, but when I play them I lose that idea bc of their playability and bright jazzy sound. I play a Takamine GJ72CE right now. For the price range of the guitar I’ve been blown away by its sound, playability and versatility among styles. None of the strings made the guitar sound like it’s wood quite like these John Pearse Nickel Strings. That being said I’ve never used other nickel strings. They make the playability more acoustic, adding more friction to groove and resistance to bends, as well as producing a significantly more hollow wooden sound that I feel really brings out the acoustics of my guitar more than any other string I’ve used. I will probably alternate between elixirs for now, but once I get an electric guitar again I could see these being more permanent on my acoustic. These are really awesome strings.
