The JOJOY LUX 360° Brake Caliper Press Tool was a game-changer for my brake replacement job! The 360-degree ratcheting design made compressing the caliper pistons super easy and smooth, saving me a ton of time compared to using a C-clamp or other manual methods. The build quality feels solid, and the tool provides even pressure, preventing damage to the caliper. It worked perfectly on my vehicle, and I was able to swap out my brake pads effortlessly. Whether you’re a DIYer or a professional mechanic, this tool is a must-have in your toolbox.Highly recommend for anyone looking to make brake jobs faster and hassle-free!

Works after too much trial and error. Something needs to be tighter, finally whacked the center pin with a hammer to tighten it from recklessly spinning and it is now much improved.

I like the heavy duty feel to this tool, it made the job much faster and efficient, it was easier and faster then the knob pressing type. This tool provides more even separation when using on multiple cylinder type of calipers, also the optional adapter plate (for larger and more cylinder calipers) is a great feature to have.

Is easy to set up and use. Two plates for both single and duel calipers. Just insert between the pistons and the opposite side and pull the ratchet.Couldn't be simpler. Build quality is alright for people that do occasional brake jobs. It's going to last me for a long time

Not a bad tool at all. It helped for sure. Only thing I wish is that the magnetic part that holds the plate were stronger; then it would be a 5-star IMO.

After 25 years as working as a technician, I’ve had many different tools to compress the brake calliper. Gave this tool a try and loved it . Very easy to use and works quicker than the other tools I have used.

Simple yet great. Good material. Did many breaks with it now and can't imagine doing without it now

TO EVERYONE WHO HAS REVIEWED THIS AND EVERYONE WHO READS THE REVIEWS SAYING THE RATCHET FUNCTION DOESN'T WORK PROPERLY/WELL:This is absolutely correct *if the device isn't under pressure/tension*. If you grab the plates with your hand and squeeze in, whether you are ratcheting in or out, it works just fine. When you're compressing the caliper piston, apply a little pressure to the plate opposite from the piston. The ratchet will catch and once it hits the resistance of the piston, you don't need to apply pressure to that plate opposite the piston. You can concentrate holding the plates within the caliper so they don't raise up and lose contact with the piston. This works just fine. Yeah, it's not Snap-On quality, but it'll work just fine for the guy that does his own brakes every few years. They only negative I can report is that the magnets which attach the larger plates to the device, were not securely glued into their indentations. It will need some sort of metal to metal epoxy to get them to stay (if your caliper is large enough to need them). Without the extender plates, it should be large enough for most normal single piston/caliper cars. If you have a full size truck or performance car with dual (or more) piston calipers, you'll likely need the extender plates.

This tool works, but it is limited in it’s design. Luckily, it is easy to overcome the issues I had by making your own shims to be able to use the tool with “some” model cars, let me further explain.I have a 2015 Mercedes Benz SL400 roadster, which comes equipped with 4 piston Brembo calipers. These calipers are HUGE, and there are 2 pistons per side that need to be pushed back to insert the replacement pads. I managed to complete 1 side of my car using 2 C-clamps and was able to use the old pad to keep 1 of the pistons pushed back. The problem is when you push back 1 of the 4 calipers, it forces the other 3 to push out. So, it is similar to Wack-a-mole, and you need more than 1 clamp. I was lucky in that one of my C-clamps had a dual head, but even with this the task was far from easy.I looked on Amazon and found this tool for around $20 (Dec2023) and figured I would try it out. The design works well, but the fault in that design is that the tool does not open wide enough to push back the pistons. I solved this by cutting some ¼” plywood spacers the same size as the plates on the tool, and then I use adhesive magnet pads to allow me to mount the spacers so they would not fall out. While this worked, my magnets were not very strong, so I am going to switch to Velcro. Since they give you some longer spacers to cover even larger calipers (I thought the Benz calipers were big, I guess the length spacers are for trucks?), I do not see why they cannot give you spacers to increase the width about ½ total, ¼” per side and magnetically attachable to the tool. I am only going to deduct 1 star because of this, and it was simple to overcome. The tool seems sturdy enough and the racket works well, I have no fault with the operation of the tool, just the layout and lack of spacers for width. What makes me wonder if they really tested this tool is that my car is the exact target market for buyers, people with multiple pistons that need to be pushed back for service. Multiple Benz autos use these same calipers, so I guess they did not thoroughly test this tool with many of the cars on the market. I will include some pictures of my homemade spacers; it took me about 2 minutes to cut them and apply the magnetic backing.Overall, this is a good tool, and if you have a multi-piston caliper it will help you swapping pads. Since it seems the overseas vendors read reviews and alter their products better than US based companies, I took the time to write this review carefully to explain what is needed with the next iteration/improvement of this nice tool.

The ratcheting mechanism is not terribly fine, and the build quality feels a little cheaper than other tools of this type I have used, but it does what it's supposed to. Unfortunately the tool was unable to push back the caliper pistons completely without the extra plates, and the plates were too long to fit within the caliper (Toyota). Once I trimmed the ends off of the plates, the tool worked perfectly.
