previous model better clipped right onto side of ladder rungs. could put paint container in wide open space. these are to small to hold paint container.

It works pretty well, but if you’re right, handed reaching across yourself to get parts or a tool is kind of a pain in the butt

Some suggestions for design revision:- Since 90% of westerners are right handed, change the design so it sits in the right side of the ladder. Better yet, make both left and right mount units. That way people can choose their preference, regardless of left/right handedness, *and* some people would buy both versions for more storage, and Jokari would increase sales (Bob's your uncle).- When placed on highest rung(s), the unit has to be tilted because the house siding impedes the back side of the tray.- Add two more holes, and have the back two or three large enough to fit the handles of wire brushes and a shop hand brooms (both of which are used in painting). Place two of the current size in front, for screwdrivers, etc.- I have a Werner Electro-Master FE1020-2 20' fiberglass extension ladder. The hooks don't fit securely on the rungs due to the 'collar' where the rungs meet the sides. I found that if I use two hands and some force, I can get the hooks to fit securely. But the unit doesn't got on and off easily. Maybe the plastic will loosen over time. I realize the unit is for a variety of ladders, so just sayin'.- The handle is in the way of the tray below it. I don't know how that could be corrected and have it still adjustable however.- Despite my improvement suggestions, I find the tray very helpful. (I also have a (different) container mounted on and behind a rung for extra storage.)

Plastic cracked after 1 use but a lot of pressure was on it. Still works.

I'm cleaning out and replacing caulking between the flashing transions of the windows and the exterior walls. This saved me so much time and from danger of going up and down a 40' ladder time and time again swapping out tools. The added safety was everything as the product held all materials for me without a hitch. Additionally, it fit on the old aluminum exterior ladder that my client has on site. I was more productive because I was no longer juggling tools - a quick exchange to the Ladder Friend on my left was all I needed.

The product concept is usable, but practical use for me isn't quite there.I have a 24' Fiberglass Extension Ladder. The hook on the caddy is a little to small to lock on the rung of the ladder and the bracket that goes over the fly section of the side rail is to narrow. I believe this product will work on aluminum ladders since the rung to side rail connection is different than a fiberglass design.
