J-Tech Digital USB Extender

Introducing the J-Tech Digital JTECH-BE100 USB 2.0 Extender over single ethernet cable. Extend not one, but two USB 2.0 ports up to 328 feet away over a single CAT5E/6 ethernet cable. That’s over 21 times further than the USB 2.0 standard.

The BE100 features 1 USB-B Port on the transmitter and 2 USB-A 2.0 Ports on the receiver device. This makes extending a keyboard and mouse to a remote computer incredibly easy. Installation is simple with no additional setup required. Simply connect your USB devices, USB cables, ethernet cable and power adapter and you’re done. A true plug & play installation to get you up and running fast.

This works so good i bought 5 more receivers and connected more tvs using a regular ethernet switch. A great cost effective solution for broadcasting the same tv or dvd program to many tvs!

The listing claims to be "USB 1.1" but it's actually not. There is no ability to use anything other than a keyboard and mouse, and even then multiple keyboards I used didn't work. NO CONTROLLER SUPPORT.

The J-Tech "BE100" USB 2.0 extender over Cat6 cable is a great product! It is truly as simple as the instructions says! I have over 100' run from the desktop to where the camera is mounted. The J-Tech "BE100 USB Extender" comes with two parts, the "Transmitter" and "Receiver". The "Transmitter" comes with a power supply, 1 RJ45 port (for the CAT6 cable), and 2 USB 2.0 ports. The "Receiver" comes with 1 RJ45 port and 2 USB 2.0 ports. You will also need 2 USB 2.0 cables, be sure they are no longer than 6 feet each. Once you have your CAT6 cable run completed, then set up the "Transmitter". Simply plug the RJ45 (CAT6 cable) to the "Transmitter", connect the USB 2.0 cable to the "Transmitter" and the computer, and connect the power supply to the "Transmitter". To set up the "Receiver", connect the remote end of the CAT6 cable to the "Receiver" RJ45 port, connect the USB 2.0 cable to the "Receiver" and the remote device (camera in my case), there is no power supply need for the "Receiver". NOTE - These J-Tech "BE100 USB Extender" devices can accommodate 2 remote devices, hence the 2 USB 2.0 ports on each end. I only had USB 3.0 ports on my desktop, and wondered if these J-Tech devices would be fully compatible, but there was no issue. They are truly "Plug and Play". Once everything was hooked up, turned on the camera, and instantly the desktop could "see" the remote device in "Control Panel / Devices". I added the remote device (camera) to my video software (OBS) and could instantly view the camera video stream. Great product!

Worked fine for awhile(year and a half), then all of a sudden instead of the audio being transferred a popping noise is all that could be heard. Video was fine, but audio was a garbled popping mess. Customer service non existent after warranty period. Save your money and go elsewhere.

I bought these originally to test them out because I want to send my DirecTv to multiple TVs. So far with all my testing they work great and once I get my network in my house upgraded to have the jacks everywhere I need them I'll be buying a few more receivers to complete my setup.Just an FYI for anyone who is looking at these. They do use a multicast protocol so make sure your router/switch can handle that or it will need to be on it's own network. If you don't have the right type of switch and you will most likely bring down your entire WIFI network. This is not a design flaw this is just a side effect of the multicast protocol. I knew these limitations when I bought it and have a switch to handle it but I tested it just to see and it didn't take long. The only thing I wish that was different is that I wish the transmitter output a standard UDP multicast stream that I could connect to with my computer. I used wireshark to look at the network traffic from it and it is using a standard protocol but the packet length is showing up wrong every time which means they are most likely doing something non standard with it. I'm not reducing any stars for this because they do make another (more expensive) transmitter that does this exact thing but it had other options and I was hoping that this was doing the same and just wasn't giving a nice user interface to look up the info.I would recommend this product to anyone who just needs to extend an HDMI signal for a long distance or to multiple TVs as I'm looking to do.

I was very please with these units. We were receiving a streaming transmission with an HDMI projector at the front of the room and a second (VGA) projector half way back. The transmitter was plugged into the same HDMI splitter that the front projector was plugged into. After the 160+ foot run to the receiver, the signal had to be converted from HDMI to VGA for the older projector in the back. Both screens could be seen from the back projector and there was absolutely no discernible latency between the two. This was important because the transmission was mostly speakers and a latency would have been very visible with the words not matching the lips. We were a little concerned about this as the units obviously have to encapsulate video data into IP packets upon transmission and extract the data from the IP packets on the reception. Both can cause some latency. We know they do this because they can transmit through standard network GB switches. Good job guys!

The product worked as describe. Prior to this set, I purchased a competing product from a more recognized brand that failed to meet their specifications for Cat5 length. The picture was unstable and full of static. I went with J-Tech's extender kit due to good reviews and the 400' cable length that more than met my requirements. I purchase a 100' shielded Cat5e cable get from my computer to a projector. These units were simply plug in and turn on. The picture is clear is perfect as far as I can tell. I'm very happy with the product and hope it lasts.I would suggest that the included iR cables were labeled as to which was for the transmitter and the receiver. I misplaced the instructions, but I didn't need intend on using the iR feature and had noticed they are not the same. So having the part labeled or written into the molding somehow would be helpful. As well, I couldn't find the manual for this product available on J-Tech's website which would be useful.
