So, the handle and wood are nice. Mine came without damage and looks and feels good. It's a little small for my hand but still fits well. If I had to do it again, I'd get the one with the extra extender handle. I installed the hand stabilizer bar without issue and exactly as pictured in stores add. My only main gripe is that the stabilizer bar doesn't fit tight around the collar and if you're heavy handed with your painting hand, it will cause the stabilizer bar to swivel around the wood pedestal at the collar. I found I have to use my index finger on my holding hand to hold the stabilizer bar in place. This defeats the whole "stabilized hand" function of the stabilizer bar. I'll probably keep it; we'll see on first use. If not may look for something more stable.

I have just started painting miniatures and this tool has proven very useful! It has extra wooden bases (caps) so I can quickly swap minis. The caps attach to the handle with strong magnets and are very secure. It is very comfortable to hold and the miniature rotates easily, but not so easily that it moves while painting. The stabilizing bracket is very useful as well. You may need to refer to the Amazon photos for the stabilizing bracket installation. It is not difficult, but you will want to pay attention to that.I am very pleased with this item and recommend it.

I love miniature painting. I have dozens of minis, some going back as far as 35 years, some painted, some not. Most of them are fantasy-related, but I dont use them for gaming because I work too hard on them!A tool like this is so useful, and I'm thrilled to try this one out. It's perfect because it allows access from virtually every angle without having to touch the model at all once it's secured to the handle, which is smooth and easy to hold. The metal bar provides an excellent place to rest fingers, hand, palm, whatever against so it stabilizes your painting hand and allows you to achieve the finest possible detail. It's also excellent for when youre working under a magnifying lamp.I have other holders, but theyre bracket types that are usually meant to stay on the work surface. Something like this makes a world of difference. This has improved my ability to achieve excellent results tenfold, if not more. I'd recommend it to *anyone* who does any kind of model painting. Excellent gift too.

Absolutely necessary kit for me, as my hands shake too much without it. Even if my hands didn't shake so much, it just makes painting much more comfortable, and I can do so for longer. The wood is really beautiful, not a single flaw. I got everything shown in the picture.The shape makes this so easy to hold, I would get the V3-02 shaped handle if you will hold the handle with your thumb horizontal, and the V3-01 if you will hold the handle with your thumb vertical.Would love to see them sell extra "setting caps" separately. I sometimes paint several miniatures at once.
