Obvious point to make first - this isn't designed to be your main track pump at home. But it is designed to offer stirrup pump-like functionality, in a portable format. And it achieves that. Switching between Presta and Schraeder is easy enough too. There are smaller pumps out there, obviously, but this offers a fair compromise between form (size) and function.

This is not the compact bike pump that you can get at your local store that is made out of plastic. This one is almost all metal and very well made. It is tiny for a floor pump and will possibly be used mainly as a hand pump. I was thinking that I would have to replace my water bottle mount with this, BUT If you look at the third picture above you will see that this mount fits behind the water bottle mount.

Just so you know, I review products for Amazon, so I did not pay for this item. Having received it, here's what I thought:I liked a lot about this. The way the pipe screws into the handle for storage, the pressure release valve, the bit you put under your foot, the quality of the finish and the action of it. I inflated a motorcycle tyre with it (21" to 20 psi) without a problem.I don't think the holder is up to the same aesthetic finish (basic plastic).I understand that you can flip the valve around, I only tested it with the car-type valve (Schrader) but believe it'll work just as well with the Presta type.I couldn't get a useful reading from the pressure gauge, so deducting a star for that (and the cheaper-looking holder). It is good though. It would go very nicely on a black traditional bike. I'll be taking it on motorcycle trail riding trips as it's nice and light.

I though this pump was well made. I had no issues using it but some people might not like that you have to unscrew the end to use it. That part did not bother me as I see it as a good way to keep the pump and the hose from getting damaged.
