Returning....did a few pieces and closed it up thinking pieces would be held in place...they were all at the bottom and all came apart....

Compared to other offerings for a movable puzzle mat, this is 5-star. QUALITY: very-well made with choice materials. It's components like handles, straps, closures, etc. look like they will last through lots of years of use. VALUE: competitive price for the quality of design and construction. DESIGN: It has many well-thought of elements - big enough to have additional space around each edge of an average 1000 piece puzzle to construct small clusters or keep aside pieces identified as being close to being placed. The removable panels are great for working areas on your lap on the sofa and/or moving around like sorting trays, Now... these are caveats that some people might find move this to a 4 star. For me, these weren't big enough to down-rate, but for the value of a review, I'm mentioning. SIZE: It's big! A little too big for me in that I cannot fit it horizontally thru a bedroom door to move when not working. It's also heavy. Yes, you can close it up to carry vertically, but it's not perfect for keeping loose pieces in place. The sides that fold out are useful for that purpose, and those trying to keep their pets away, but they are a pain to have to deal with if you don't have a clear and large dining table to keep it out on. Note: I fold them under so two of us can work on the corner of a table. I also put a strip of velcro tape over the velcro edge as it's scratchy when working from that side. MATERIAL: It is great material, however, I do want to confirm there can be very very small wrinkles. They don't bother me or create problems, and I put more value in it being a more desirable cloth to work on and keep pieces in place. WISH LIST: I do wish the 2 movable panels were cut in half so that there were 4, as that is usually the number of sorting 'trays' I use. I personally feel 1 inch less on all sides would make it more usable for what I wanted.

- Made in ChinaPuzzle boards of all sizes and types have been just flooding Amz for about a year now from these foreign Alibaba-esque resellers. Be sure to price/style check.I've tried several types of boards over the last year. I like this type but it has the same issue for me as others. Heavy overuse of velcro. There's a top and bottom flap, once they're folded in, there's no need for a 2" strip of industrial strength velcro. It's difficult to get open and if I have loose pieces inside, they get tossed around while I struggle. Not a huge deal and I really like the rest of it. This one, the felt is decently snug so no mounds or wrinkles (I do only wooden puzzles and if felt is loose, it gets in the way)It is still heavy but not overly so and, once closed, the handle makes it easy to move around.

My kids and I love to do puzzle but living in an apartment we don't have a ton of space to leave the incomplete puzzles out on the table. This caddy is going to let us get to larger puzzles since we won't have to get them done in one sitting anymore!First off, this thing is LARGE! I really like that you are able to spread out and have room to sort out the pieces without having to fish through a pile to find what you're looking for. When you pull out the two side "trays" you have almost twice the room. Not only is it large, it's also well made. The two front panels are held closed by large strips of velcro at the top and bottom as well as a strap in the center. The velcro they used is VERY strong. You will need two hands to get it loose. There is a carry handle at the top to make it easy to transport. There was one loose thread on the handle, but, otherwise the stitching is tight. Inside the entire caddy is covered in soft fabric that allows you to slide the pieces around easily. If you are looking for a way to be able to work on puzzles when you have little space or to keep the pieces safe from kids and/or pets, this is a great solution. It holds larger puzzles, allows for easy sorting of the pieces and looks great to boot. It is a bit on the expensive side at $89.99 (the price at the time of this review), but if you are an avid puzzle buff, it is a great addition.

Jumbl 1500-Piece Puzzle Caddy (Blue) 5 stars4 1/2 stars rounded to 5. This is a fabulous puzzle caddy. It arrived in a box that told you what it was (in case you are gifting it) and the corners were protected by Styrofoam. It’s large; it almost completely covers our round kitchen table when closed. While using it we prop the two sides up with chairs or they would tilt down. (We use the two large removable panels on the sides with pieces that are being sorted. When ready to pack up we just place those panels over the main puzzle area and close it up.) The gray interior is very soft and keeps the pieces where you put them, and the four strong Velcro tabs and buckle work perfectly to keep the caddy closed. The handle also opens and closes with Velcro. There were two small issues. The stitching is off in one spot (see the slight bunch in the photo), but it doesn’t bother me because no one will ever be looking at it. The other one was that I immediately noticed that my wrists / arms were resting on Velcro, which bothered me at first. However, by day two it was a non-issue for me, but that might be an issue for some.Packing up once finished puzzling only takes a minute. We tried storing it vertically, but some of the pieces moved around (just a bit) so we are now storing it under our couch where it’s completely out of view but super easy to retrieve and store. I don’t love the blue color (I would prefer a neutral like black, gray, or beige), but you only really see the soft gray interior while using it. We have cats, and only one kitchen table, so this caddy has been the perfect solution.A few days after I ordered this caddy, I saw a heavier wood one that tilts, but it’s not soft, is twice the weight of this one, and is more expensive, so I had no regrets that I had chosen this one.
