I was surprise when I got the package that they are flat. I was expecting them to be fat like the picture. But after opening they work great. Fits nice in my hand and is absorbent

These are interesting sponges. They arrive in a clear plastic package containing 6 sponges and the sponges are "like vacuum sealed" flat in their own separate package. Once the sponges are opened and wet, they expand to an inch or inch and a half thick (not sure as I didn't measure them). They are non-scratch which is nice; however, they are flimsy and soft. I prefer more of a thick firm sponge; however, these worked fine; however, they really only lasted one wash a piece because when I went to squeeze the soapy water out of the sponge towards the end of each wash, the sponge tore. I could probably use it again but when it tore, I dropped it on the ground so I will not use it on my car again. The same thing happened using the second sponge (but I did not drop this one). For the price, it is a decent deal and my kids liked watching the sponge expand so I can't complain.
