For uncomplicated care, every JURA fully automatic machine has a maintenance-free brewing unit that cleans itself at the touch of a button. The original JURA cleaning tablets, which have been tried and tested a million times over, are constantly being optimized and further developed by our laboratory team. The new 3-phase cleaning tablet, the innovative result of intensive research, now offers even better results thanks to an additional protective phase that provides your fully automatic machine with lasting protection against mineral deposits. The application remains unchanged in its simplicity.
This is how the cleaning process works:
Phase 1: Cleaning
The brewing unit and brewing sieve are thoroughly rinsed with 80 °C hot water. In the process, the highly effective formula of the cleaning tablet removes residues of coffee grease and oil, which can adulterate the taste and quality of the coffee.
Phase 2: Care
In a second, care phase, special active ingredients seal the surfaces of the relevant components, preventing coffee residues and fats from re-settling.
NEW Phase 3: Protection
In the newly developed third phase, so-called complexing agents provide the fully automatic machine with lasting protection against mineral deposits.

Always what we have used to clean our espresso maker. Does a great job. Only one thing I would suggest, you can sometimes taste a bit of the tab after so I always do a second clean without a tab.

They're not cheap but I don't know that I would trust that aftermarket brand on such an expensive machine. I wish I knew more about what they're made of because I would much prefer to save a few bucks but for now these are the ones I use

These could come in a better way to pop them out without potentially crushing another tablet but they’re great at getting the gunk out of the company Jura machine. Just don’t put the tablet in too soon or when you go to empty the tray a 1/3 disintegrated tablet will be there mocking you to redo the entire cleaning process
