The tip is too blunt and the wax keep break off. Will probably not use it.

Love it working on the Mona Lisa and the Mona Lisa, I have a square and it’s been working with the square as well, so just lightly twisted you don’t need to twist it too much because it automatically comes out. It’s like gravity fed so just barely twisted and it should last you a while.

I really don’t care for the pins or the wax cause when you use it to use your diamond that at least too much wax on top of the dot that you’re putting on your picture

Overall, I love this pen and prefer it to dipping into the wax.1. I wish the narrow point of the pen was a bit longer. The point size of great, but it immediately starts flaring out which pushes surrounding drills out of place. This makes precise placement more difficult. Workable, but more work.2. A couple of tips to new users ... 1. Don't rwist the wax out until it shows (like in the pictures) it does make for easy pick up, but the softness will smash all over the drills and the pen. Just close to the edge of the point works. 2. When you twist to the point you want it, immediately "untwist" just a tad or the pressure will cause it to continue to feed. 3. For placement, it's better to be able to just lightly tap the drill in place then push it down with something else, like a finger or the back of the pen ... the immediately widening of the pen point area makes precision placement a bit more difficult. (See above) 3. I wish the method of replacing the wax was a little more straightforward and obvious. (Haven't had to yet and haven't figured it out yet ... no instructions hahaha)

The wax is extremely soft so if you press just a little too hard, the gems get stuck in the hole where the wax comes out. But if you don't press hard enough, the gems don't stick to the canvas. I might try and see if the wax that actually comes in the diamond paintings would be able to be used in these pens (that wax is firmer).
