Not too thick, not too thin and just the right width for smaller prices drivers. Will buy again.

Depending on what you want, this foam compresses really flat, so consider what you need. This compressability allows it to form to your surface well. I'm using it for a lid that I want to close tight without the foam pushing it apart, so that's prefect for me. It retains memory after being compressed for a long time, but will release after a day. The adhesive is nice and sticky, yet able to pull off to reposition in installation. It can slide around to lateral force, and can get chewed up if squashed in sharp corners. It's flexibility requires some attention when positioning, as it's easy to overstretch it too much when putting in place. The roll is huge and skinny, so it likes to unravel a bit. After having installed for a week or so, it tends to stay compressed, but still keeps a nice seal to what it formed to. By this time, it is hard to peel off without it tearing. The roll is plenty enough that I haven't had to worry about running out of I need to replace a strip.

This foam tape is fantastic! I installed an aftermarket radio in my Jeep Wrangler. After the install, the dash would creak where the new radio panel was touching the existing dash. These slight creaks and squeaks drive me nuts. I first purchased a 3M tape designed for my problem which did not work well. I then went online and found this product. I applied this product between the aftermarket radio panel and my dash. It worked perfectly. My Jeep is now quite again (relatively). This worked for my need.Pros: Price, durableCons: i have extra on this big rol

I was worried that this stuff wouldn't stick well, be the right size, be too hard or too soft and I was 100% just being incorrectly paranoid. I couldn't have asked for a better solution for rebuilding my laptop fan/heatsink assembly. The backing pulled off easily and adhered just right plus allowed to be stretched a bit and wrapped around a hard edge quite well enough. Perfectly actually for doing it by hand. This is just the right size if you're needing something like this to insulate most computer type foam needs that i've ever run into. If you're worried because it is more than you need, you probably won't find what you're looking for that works as well for this cheap of a price. Most solutions I found were 2x or more expensive. I used a lot of the leftover from my rebuild to dampen the noise of doors and cabinets closing loudly in my house. It's just the right size for that type of job. Discrete on the inside of cabinet doors and fits just right in the door jam of interior doors while being thick enough to cease slamming while still allowing the door to close properly.

Some have criticized this product as it did not fit their needs. But one thing you have to understand is that every product is different. Those who were dissatisfied with this product bought it blindly. My advice to a potential buyer is to figure out exactly what you are looking for. This you are purchasing from the internet so you do not have the luxury of being able to hold a product in your hands before committing to purchase. So take some measurements figure out the size of the gap you are trying to seal. Figure out how dense you need the strip to be. Then contact the seller and let them know your objective ask for their opinion on the product so you don't run into any issues. That's what i did and the specs we figured out were exact and product fitment was perfect. If you chose not to do this, then you are purchasing a product blindly and if you get upset because it wasn't what you expected well that's nobody's fault but your own.

So I originally bought this to only seal my cars speaker so it doesn't vibrate with each bass. It worked amazingly! Also due to be poor quality interior of the Mercury Grand Marquis/ Ford crown victoria, I used it also to seal the door panels so they don't creak when someone applies pressure to it (or they don't make noise over bumps).Sadly, the packaging was in a plastic bag and the roll got crumpled at points because when I opened it, the roll was distorted and the lines were out of place in some areas which made it lose its stickiness. Fortunately there's a lot so I was able to use the foam that was not damaged in the role but still, I paid 10$ for 10ft and was only able to use about 7ft of it.
