There are so many ways I want to use this, I am not sure which one to choose! It does come with a battery, so that is a nice touch! I compared this product's readings with my fridge thermo and my indoor/outdoor weather station, and all were just about the same. The unit itself records one temp ("indoor"), and the probe records its own temp where it is located ("outdoor") - and the unit displays both - perfect! When I ordered this, I thought that just the probe was recording the temp - I am pleasantly surprised that you get two distinct readings!Ways i am going to use this: in the rv, tent, and car, to know what the temps are both inside and outside. My car does have an exterior thermo, but it only works when the car is on, and sometimes, it is nice to know what the temps are without the car running. Also can use it for the fridge and freezer. During a power outage, this is especially useful, as it has a maximum/minimum/history reading, so you know if your fridge went above 40 degrees. Also, during a power outage, since this uses a battery, I can use this to know the indoor and outdoor temps.

Small readout device with easy to follow buttons - max/min available (helpful), probe and readout thermometers seem accurate compared to my home thermostat (both measuring house temp versus house termostat.) within .5 degrees F.Useful to me to check fridge bins for medicine storage temps. All checked out well within ranges. So useful for me as I have long term med storage needs. Pleased.
