It says it is heavy duty, and they are not joking. This ladder is designed to last forever.I didn't realize that the steps would be so boldly textured. We needed this as we put together a 60 year old set of bunk beds that no longer had a ladder. We really only needed 50 inches of height, and this ladder is 55 inches, so it just sticks out a little bit more from the bed, which is fine in the space we have it.

Very nice ladder! Everything was great except where the screws were packaged, they were had to find!

This is a really nice quality, sturdy bunk bed ladder that can also be used for travel trailers. It is made of metal rather than wood like most ladders for bunk beds. The build is high quality. The metal rungs are strong and big enough to support large feet. Although it is heavy duty, it is not terribly heavy, so is portable. It is an excellent value. The reason I gave it only four stars is that there are no feet that will grip the floor, so it could slide, causing an injury.

This is a solid, sturdy ladder, but assembly isn't great, and it takes up a lot of space.

This ladder is advertised as a RV bunk ladder, but I use it as a replacement for the broken ladder on my daughter's bunk bed in her bedroom. The ladder seems very sturdy (manufacturer rated at 330lbs capacity). Ours is the 55" model and it fits perfectly. The ladder is not adjustable (a good thing in my opinion) which makes it sturdy and strong, but definitely measure before purchasing so you know what size you need. There is minimal assembly required - just attaching the hooks and putting on the rubber feet.Cons: The heads on the screws for the hooks can easily strip with the Allen Wrench - be careful when tightening. Also, the rubber feet are hard to insert into the legs of the ladder. I spread a small amount of Dawn on the rubber which helped them to slide into the legs.Overall, I'm very pleased with this ladder.

The JY PERFORMANCE RV Bunk Ladder is exactly what I needed for my used camper that didn’t come with one. It works perfectly! The heavy-duty construction is incredibly sturdy, and it supports my weight of 265 pounds with ease. I love that it comes fully assembled—no hassle of putting it together, just mount the hangers and it’s ready to go. The wide footsteps provide excellent stability and comfort, making it safe and easy to use. Highly recommend this ladder for anyone looking for a dependable and well-designed RV accessory!

I wanted a new ladder for the park model we bought last year. This one is heavier than our current rv ladder. Our other rv ladder is made of some chintzy aluminum. The rails on that ladder are hollow / one sided. It came with the rv when we bought it. I’m honestly terrified every time I use it, that it’ll collapse under my weight. (I’m about 215 lbs). And I don’t feel comfortable letting our kid sleep that high up yet, otherwise he’d be the one using the ladder.I really like this ladder a LOT!! Not only does it visibly LOOK heavy duty, it IS heavy duty. I’ve already tested it out and it holds my weight (and I don’t feel nervous climbing on or off of it!).This rv ladder has solid rails; four sided, which automatically is a huge plus for me. It also weighs more than our current rv ladder, which also tells me it’s a lot stronger / heavier metal. The ladder comes with a total of six “feet”. Four hollowed out feet and two solid feet. The hollowed out “feet” just slip onto the rails. The solid “feet” actually go into the rails.I installed the solid feet. I found these ones a bit difficult to install. (I needed a mallet and a ball peen hammer to get the feet in). I’m certain these will not pop out at all, given the difficulty I had getting them in. If or when these “feet” wear out, you can just slip the hollowed out “feet” onto the rails.Another user mentioned the metal hooks were covered in some heavy duty tape / covering. I too found this… but I’m wondering if the tape is meant to stay on the hooks? I removed the tape from one, just to see what it was like. I found the metal underneath to be unfinished looking and honestly, “blah”; especially when attached to the ladder.. I’m thinking the tape IS meant to stay on to give the hooks a more finished look. I opted to install the hooks WITH the tape on. The only thing is when doing that, you need to feel where the holes are in the tape in order to install them onto the ladder. Not a big deal though. The set comes with four hooks, which is nice. If or when the tape wears out, you can just install another hook if so desired. Or if you’re like me and were trying to figure out if the tape stays on or comes off, you have a spare. The biggest downside for me, was the lack of instructions. It should be pretty simple to figure it out, but I was clueless. There are holes at the top and bottom of the ladder so I was confused where the hooks are supposed to go. The extra feet also had me stumped for a bit. And then the tape / covering on the hooks; not knowing if it’s supposed to come off or stay on… Instructions would’ve been very helpful.Overall, I’m extremely happy with this ladder. I deducted one star for the lack of instructions, which led me to take longer trying to figure out what goes where and whatnot. I would 100% buy this ladder again.
