This thermal couple has worked flawlessly for my first three kiln firings up to 2211 f. It would have been nice if they would have included a cable.

I loved that I could order this online for a great price. Saved me driving to the pottery supply or having to pay shipping elsewhere.Works great and has saved me a few times after having to change out my kiln elements to figure out what was happening.

The first (and only) firing I used this on was for bisque. The thermocouple got to 800F and then crapped out, the temperature shown was 84F, regardless of hot or cold anything was. I know it wasn't the pyrometer because I did a check with another pyrometer I have and it read the same. I wasn't able to do a firing before the return window, so I'm just out of luck. I just ordered a new one from Clay-King.

The shipping took a while but this thing worked perfect in my pyrometer. After a year i am very displeased and changed my rating to one star. I have only used this thermocouple maybe four times because I bought it as a backup for the one I have that is starting to show age. This new one has a very very brittle ceramic covering and hunky fall off for no apparent reason. Three chunks are now missing as show.

The thermocouple appears to be a quality product but the leads do not stand up to the forge temps I am measuring.

I use this to help monitor my old Kiln for pottery to come 6, 2209 degrees. It’s hooked up to an Amprobe meter
