This pump worked flawlessly on my commercial sink for 2 years. Then I moved and did not need it any longer. We put all kinds of things down that sink, including acrylic paste residue from cleaning brushes and rags. We just needed to rinse the sink longer to prevent any buildup. Worked without incident the entire 2 years of heavy daytime and evening use.

I was looking for a the best way to add a utility sink to our laundry room without excessive costs associated with hiring a pro.I've looked around, and this looked like the best option, price and power-wise.We were planning very light use just to wash off the kids' clothes. The installation was easy, I've used all the included components with some additional items purchased separately, of better quality, outlined in the instructions..Now the instructions say that the minimal vertical pipe run should be 6' minimum, which is not what I have, I probably have around 2,5 or 3' run up, which then goes down to the same drain as the washer.I thought this could cause issues down the road, but since I've installed it in March 2023, the pump has been running amazingly well without any interventions or corrections from our side. It's incredible what it can do:suck little pieces of poop or dirt pieces from kids cloth.Clean multiple paint brushes and rollers at once with enough running water to ensure nothing sticks.Washing off buckets with large pieces of dirt and anything else. Can't remember everything, as it seems like we've had it forever. The water drain seems to be fast enough to quickly move the contents of the sink out.I think the noise level is appropriate, but I could definitely hear the vibration in another room. It's a pump, that's expected.Additionally, if the red valve is overly closed, the pump will run multiple times whenever it wants to, easy fix.Hopefully, it continues to work as expected.Great product if installed properly.

It was installed completely according to the instructions, and the pump did not respond at all during the final test, which felt very foggy. Later, I accidentally took out the sink drain screen, and it passed through immediately, and the pump started. I use pliers to expand the sieve a little bit and let it float on it.

I bought and installed this pump several months ago, didn't want to write about it until it had been in operation for a while. Application was a basement sink using a plastic laundry tub precut for a 4" center faucet. Was fortunate to have a 3" PVC sanitary "Y" with a capped end in the perfect location above where I wanted the sink. Several things: The pump itself is designed to move far more water than the faucet can supply, so you really have to pay attention to the "balancing" required using their ball valve as a throttle. To achieve the proper flow rate for the shut-off switch, the ball valve must be almost closed, at least in my application (and probably yours as well). This is ok, however. The pump is noisier than I thought it would be, but not intolerable. You'll know when a piece of debris gets past the little stainless screen in the drain outlet and gets lodged in the pump, it will sound like the whole thing is going to explode! Fortunately, it comes apart easily and quickly. So keep hard bits of debris out of the sink as much as possible. Also: Their plans call for the use of galvanized pipe nipples. Forget those and use PVC fittings for all the piping, much easier and lighter. Use a high quality pipe dope for threaded joints. I would avoid anything blue and go with a teflon paste, even if the blue stuff says it will work on plastics. Also again, please pay attention to their dimensions for heights involved. The backflow fitting as supplied works fine with enough vertical piping above it, but even a foot less may allow leakage back to the pump. I would be happy to answer any other questions you may have. Overall, I'm pretty happy with how it all turned out.

I installed this in a basement sink that was below the level of the sewer line. After checking for leaks and calibrating the ball valve everything seemed great. I followed the very limited instructions and installation stipulations on plumbing distances, etc. to a tee. After a couple of months the pump started cycling on and off, no matter what I did to the ball valve. After trying a number of things I ended up removing and replacing the check valve, which I figured was leaking water backwards and up in the pipe. The check valve provided is junk plastic and is tough to even get glued snugly to standard PVC. I plumbed it all back in and the problem remained.I called customer service and the person I spoke to was incredibly rude. He essentially told me that I must just be incompetent. I never rule this out so I didn't take it personally, I just want results. I would have told him every step and measurement I took, asking where I went wrong, but he got impatient with my questions and again told me I must have not followed the directions provided (I did). The guy's only helpful utterance was to offer to warranty the pump.I'm working on getting that done. In the meantime I'm out hours of troubleshooting and plumbing work. I regret buying from this company and getting this style of pump in general. I was warned they can be finicky, but I didn't figure they'd be total junk with crap customer service to boot.Save your money and more importantly time/headache and buy a proper grinder pump or one of these instead:https://www.amazon.com/Superior-Pump-92072-U-Machines-Dehumidifiers/dp/B005MKGQMO/ref=sr_1_3_sspa?crid=14J6ZNNU2KGC6&keywords=undersink+pump&qid=1667578601&qu=eyJxc2MiOiIzLjA1IiwicXNhIjoiMi4yOSIsInFzcCI6IjAuOTIifQ%3D%3D&sprefix=undersink+pump%2Caps%2C104&sr=8-3-spons&psc=1
