The Kaiser Accordion Storage Bottle is used to preserve photo chemicals. The accordion walls can be pressed together in order to remove excess air. In this way, oxidation of the contents is minimized as well as increasing the storage life of the contents.

Immediately out of the box, the seal isn't airtight. That's whole selling point of this product. Besides that glaring issue, I bought mine for ~$15 when it costs pennies to make a molded plastic container. Someone's making an absolute killing on low quality product!I was expecting the seal to be bad based on reviews, so I'm by no means surprised.

Will not keep the air out, does not seal tightly, sent it back

Does ok. Sometimes the seal isn’t airtight, which kind of defeats the point of the accordion shape. I recommend making sure the seal inside has been cleaned of any chemical residues to help stay airtight.

Faltflasche ist luftdicht. Zu achten ist dabei auf das feste Verschließen des Schraubdeckels.

It works for storing chemicals although you shouldn't expect them to accordion smaller and stay that way since the top on mine does not completely seal shut so it allows air to get in and expand it out. So that said, the accordioning feature is useless but it does store my photo developing solutions. I'm just not sure how long they'll last since the amount of air exposure is much greater than it would have been had it worked as expected.I've since learned that you'd be much better off using a normal bottle and putting in glass marbles to reduce the air in the bottle which is what I do now. These accordioning bottles have been thrown out as they're pretty useless for their original intention.
