I am simply stunned. I have absolutely no idea how this could even happen, but I received a pot that has clearly been used, poorly soldered, and then sent to me as if it is a new part. Someone made a major mistake here...

No reason not to use these. I bought 2 more after the first one arrived and they have been working great. One came damaged from shipping (it was literally crushed) and was replaced for free. Good feel to the turn of the knob as well. Winner!

Haven't gigged much with pandemic, but the Strat volume swells are effortless due to low friction of the pot. Also means the volume level can get easily 'strummed' off setting, so the switch function is used to setup a 'blow' switch....full on pickups hit the output jack, no volume pot load whatsoever..... Hasn't gotten scratchy yet...

Reasonable quality push/push switch and pot. We will see how the spring holds up, so far, so good. It rides a bit high for a standard strat tone knob to sit nearly flush to bottom of a 3 ply standard pickguard. You will need an additional backing nut to adjust height as low as possible (which they should include but do not). Fortunately, the switch action only takes a mm or so to actuate. The pot is very low turning friction as compared to a standard CTS. Also, the switch terminals are tiny and should be made a bit beefier with larger holes for hookup (especially if you are routing actual pickup signals with Gavitt type AWG). I ended up soldering on extension terminals. I used this as a middle tone control to also activate 7-way switching in a Strat.
