Great looking pickgaurd but be prepared to drill new holes , which seems to be typical for aftermarket pickgaurds . Under one of the pickup mount screws , I installed a ground wire with an eyelet . No buzz from the aluminum. Not sure if that’s really needed but I installed it as a precaution. I like the matte black look against the gloss of the Strat body

The pickguard is well constructed. The holes to mount the pickguard on a Squire Stratocaster Hard Tail Fender Special Run but most were workable and I have only had to leave one screw out. The area for the bridge was slightly too small and I had to ground out part of the sides of the bridge to get it to fit on the guitar. I would also like to see the area around the controls not anodized so that things like the pots can't be grounded to the pickguard. I'm getting slight noise because the pickguard isn't grounded.

I had the white/pearlescent guard on my guitar. It was that way, when I bought it years ago. I wanted to take the opportunity to pretty it up.It took a bit of work to get everything migrated over. I thought I could just slip it out with the strings on, but that doesn't work. It took me maybe 20 minutes to migrate. I did it while watching TV. So it's just time consuming, not difficult.With the black pickguard and white pickup covers, it looks more distinguished. Like it's wearing a tuxedo, rather than a beginner guitar. I'll probably replace the pickup covers with gloss black, so they'll stand out just a bit from the pickguard.

This KAISH Matte Aluminum Strat Style Pickguard is going to be the perfect fit to replace this white (faded/stained) pickguard on my 70s Harmony Strat-like guitar. Every cutout and screw hole is an exact match and should make this replacement the easiest part of my refurbishing of this old instrument and give it a nice upgrade to the overall look as well.
