This is a good instrument; other bundles are less expensive, but Kala has a great reputation that balances that out. The string action is a bit high, so re-working the saddle and nut is needed (NOTE: the nut has been bored for standard baritone strings, and is really tight; using nut needle files is a must, especially if you re-string for GCEA tuning)The bundle lacks a tuner (for the price, you'd think they'd include one), but the quality of the gig bag makes up for that!

It's pretty good for the price, but the strings are loose when in tune which makes them buzz a lot. Maybe new strings would help with that...

Knowing the brand I’m sure the ukelele played fine. Mine arrived with a small darker mark on the body...uneven stain maybe just due to the wood grain but i didn’t like it and it stood out to me. So I returned it and they refused to refund my shipping. So just know if you need to return for whatever reason you will prob have to pay and be out $15+ for shipping. I’m a bit frustrated...not sure what happened to customers satisfaction being important.

I bought my Kala without having tested it based solely on internet research. If you're shopping for a baritone uke that won't eat your bank account buy the Kala KA-B. Yes it's beautiful to look at, easy to hold and a pleasure to play - but the tone will blow you away. This Kala has a deep, rich voice that's a joy to hear. It makes a great / companion to my Martin classical guitar. Buy it! You will enjoy.
