This cord is made out of heavy-gauge wire and works well. The cord is a perfect length for my application. The cord works well and plugs right into my pre-wired outlet! Nice product, I recommend!

this is a good, solid connecting adapter for our generator. compatible with what's labeled, and feels really durable. functions as intended, no issues when in use. only thing i'd keep in mind is it's not the length listed. i don't need it to be the exact length, but if you were expecting it, that might be a deterrent. for the money i think this is a good deal.

This extension cable is well constructed & does exactly what it is intended for which is to convert a 30A outlet to allow a 15A extension cord to plug into the other end. A convenient lock nut keeps the cable in place & the convenient 6' length allows for flexibility in placement. The bright yellow color keep the cable visible to avoid a trip hazard.

I travel a lot in my van and when I’m in transit from one place to another I tend to stealth camp which means no campsites with hook ups to recharge my solar generator if it needs topping off. I’ve become pretty good at discovering electrical outlets on lightposts or in parking garages, but occasionally the outlets I find are 30amp. This little adapter is a brilliantly low cost way of utilizing a 30amp outlet. It’s heavy duty, but also amazingly low-profile so it fits nicely in the pack where I keep my extension cords. I’ve used it several times and it works perfectly. If I made a list of things to keep in a camper van, this would definitely be on it.

This cable is a well made, heavy duty L5-30 male connector to a standard female 5-15/20 connector. This provides a great connection to a L5-30 cable when you really need a standard connector, and it's able to support up to a 20 amp NEMA 5-20 connector, or even a 15 amp NEMA 5-15. For it's simplicity, it heavy duty and will come in handy more often than expected. On the L5-30 side of things, this comes with a locking ring (no collar) so you can provide excellent strain relief to the L5-30 connectors. Plus the L5-30 connector looks like it's also designed for the shore power connection with a design to the adapter that would mate with the female side of the L5-30 to potentially provide some protection against water, although I don't think its marine graded for being water proof. The product's page does not claim it to be water proof, so at best it could be water resistant with the correct type of connections. This also comes with an orange cable holder which may be useful to organize your cables, and would work well to hang it on a hook with this orange holder. This appears to be the typical type of a hanger/organizer that comes with these heavier cables, but the issue I had with them is that they did not appear to lock in a closed state. Actually these do lock and hold securely if used properly. I figured out that you take the end of the tab, farthest from the handle, and you put it through the lowest slot, then pull it all the way though and then put the tab through the long slot it will actually hold the loop securely closed (see attached photo). But, I can only figure out how to make that work on the smallest loop. The larger loops (holes closer to the handle) cannot reach back to the elongated slot. Otherwise, this would be good for carrying the cable, or hanging it on hooks, since if laying on the ground it may come undone on its own. This orange cable holder is moderately sized so it could easily hold a couple of these cables without any trouble. When I connect the L5/30 to my extension cables, the connection is solid, and the two connectors are pulled together to eliminate any gaps between them. I have a few connectors that when fully "locked" there is a visible gap between them, so the tight and firmness of this connection is very much appreciated. As far as my other L5-30 to 5-15/20 adapter cables that I have, this is one of the few that actually supports the 5-20 connector, which is very much needed for higher current loads. Overall functionality is exceptional, and although it is a simple design (no LEDs and no circuit breakers) its a solid cable that will last a long time, which makes for an even better overall value.

I got this to use at our marina or other places with the boat when we need to be able to to access power but don't want to plug the boat in. This 6t extension cord is perfect and handy for this purpose. The cord is solid and as you would expect. It works and there are not signs of it overhearing etc.
