The build-quality on this seemed really good, but I have had two now and only have run them for about 8 months a year. Every fall I have removed it, cleaned it, and replaced the shaft zinc, as it's used in brackish water. After two seasons of use, both units failed and required major repairs (not to mention the cost of shipping a 75lb package to Minnesota!). The wires are easy prey for any sort of water rodent to chew and apparently are quite tasty to them. Long story short, my $2700 fountain (now $3100) needed $1500 of repairs after 2 years.

We’ve had it for five years and its been nothing but trouble. It runs fine for a bit then the output drops to a trickle, I have to pull it out, push up the anode and that works for a week or two then I have to do it again. For the price I would expect it to work. I wish I would have bought four cheaper ones I would have been better off.

The fountain does not produce much of a display. Very short spray regardless of head we have installed. Very small spray pattern.
