Once you set these in, the whole image will become darker. My Sony A1 has struggled more to obtain focus, and overall image quality is noticeably impacted. skies are no longer clear and blue but some weird dark color. Image sharpness seems to drop as well. I would say absolutely not for photos, in case you have no other option for video, then go for it. I achieved better results with filters which go on lens

Uv filter has a big problem, mainly with wide lenses. The corners are very soft. Doesn't matter the f-number. In the picture: with and without filter.

Really like these filters and the ability to use them on any lens including lenses without filter threads. I would recommend them to anyone with nimble fingers.Pros: They are small and light, great optical performance with no noticeable color cast, can be used with any lens no matter if it has filter threads or not, no need to move it between lenses when changing, and they provide extra protection from dust getting on your sensor.Cons: small and really hard to handle and install (I fear it might scratch my sensor if fumbled), difficult to keep clean and almost requires gloves to during the install, and they do not eliminate the need for another filter system to use a CPL.

Def worked. I have a 14mm 2.8 that I basically can’t use outside because of its front element protruding. But now I can! I have A7SIII so like one of the other comments said it isn’t 100% flush so the filter doesn’t sit snug but to me it makes it easier to remove, just tilt it forward. Comes in a little case. It’s cool. Totally great buy. Just wish it came with something to remove it without using your hands.

I’d say this is the best ND option currently for UWA zooms on Emount if a CPL isn’t needed. I previously purchased the Kase filters made for the Sigma 14-24, but the tabs tend to break. The metal frame on these prevent that from happening. I purchased this primarily to use with the Sigma 14-24, but it works with all of my Emount lenses. After installing and removing the filters a few times, it is fairly easy to do in the field. I haven’t detected any additional reflections or other visible negative effects from using the filters. They come with a soft pad, which I used at first, but after testing several 30 second exposures without the pad, I don’t see the need for it. If the pad is not installed carefully, it can have a visual effect on the edge of an image. Overall I’m very pleased with this set and leave the UV filter installed when not using a ND as extra protection against dust on the sensor.

I have been trying to figure out a way to protect my Sony mirrorless camera sensor from dust and particles.My biggest concern with mirrorless cameras is how quickly the camera sensor can get dirty.These KASE filters have solved that problem.By using a UV or ND filter that fits directly, and safely, in front of the sensor. The instructional video shows that these filters clip-in. However, I believe the dimensions are slightly larger for the a7sIII. So to be safe, you will want to remove your camera lenses with the body facing up.All in all, this is an innovative and original product!

These are revolutionary filters for sony alpha mirrorless camera bodies. The uv filter protects the sensor when changing lenses from dust. Brilliantly designed and engineered. All ND filters and city light pollution filter make a great set for various landscape photography and I can still add my polarizer to the front of the lens.
