I question the real-world usage by the other reviewers. I shoot motorsport and I spend hours walking around the track to get shots. I swap out lenses several times a day while in the field. I tend to set my Nikon 800mm with attached monopod on the grass while I shoot with other lenses. More than once, I've swapped on the 800mm only to find that the Kase filter had fallen out. It's simply too easy to bump the button which releases the filter. Amazingly, I've been able to find the filter each time by backtracking my steps, but wow, for $400, this should not be an issue. I've resorted to using gaffer's tape to fully tape around the filter--now my lens looks like crap, but at least I won't have to spend hours trying to find this poorly-designed filter again. I would not buy this again and I would not recommend it.

I'm a less than novice-level photographer/cinematographer, but own many brands of camera gadgets like or related to these filters. It's always a pleasure with Kase products. From the gate, they always put a little extra effort into their packaging, as if to make it "Giftable", like fine jewelry.Quality carry case, quality build, quality results. I know of very few hopeful competitors, and these Kase filters and kits are The King Of The Road, as far as I know 👍

This filter is quite cool. It saves you a lot of space in your bag, and it really delivers in terms of quality. This is also much easier to use while on the go. I find that everything about this was well thought out and perfectly executed. It gives nice clear photos and is easy to use. The magnets are great. I really like that this comes with a storage case, it makes it easy to keep it in my carry case with all my other stuff.

I don’t think Kase is doing a great job for marketing this filter. It’s sort of hard to understand exactly what it’s doing even if you own the equipment that is applicable. It’s a fantastic idea of that can save Nikon owners a ton of money in the long run, so I believe they’re missing out on an opportunity here. But they are certainly not missing out on quality. If you own one of the enormously expensive and large Nikon telephoto lenses VR S series, you can buy filters that slide into the a slot near the connection ring. The objective lens of these things are so big that they are impractical to put a filter on the front of the lens. So instead you put filters closer to the camera and each one has a frame to fit into the slot on the lens. The filters are quite expensive. Each one has a filter and a precision machined metal frame. This clever device allows you to own a single frame and swap out the filters that attach magnetically, saving you from having to buy and carry around a bunch of bulky, pricey metal framed filters. This frame has a gear and a knob to allow you to rotate CPL filters. This is amazingly cool in case you don’t realize that already. The build quality on this is excellent in the fit and finish your every bit what you would expect from Nikon itself. It’s certainly a niche product but it is built as well as the other Kase filters that I own, at a quality that I have come to expect. On the outside this would not look like an inexpensive product but if you compare it to the other options, you’ll see there is great value in this while not sacrificing quality.

I've always had to buy separate drop-in filters for my big glass usually a 200mm 2.0 and a 300mm 2.8 and a 400mm 2.8. It always sucks because while I could afford a CPL, maybe I couldn't also afford a ND 8. But this kit allows you to continue to use the same Drop-in filter frame with two different filters. Man, is it much easier to pack, and much easier to use in the field. I also like how the magnet is strong enough but still allows the rotation through the small wheel like the usual CPL. I was worried that maybe the glass on this brand would leave distortions or a strong color cast, but I didn't find that in my usage. I usually do some post processing on most of my pictures anyway, when grabbing wildlife shots, sometimes the exposure isn't perfect. But if I did have to do some color correction or adjustment in the white, it was very minor, and within my usual "error range." In short, this kit performed better than I thought it would, was better color and performance optically than I thought, and it is packed well in the convenient case that I can just throw into my lens carry/taxi.
