Original that came with my set was a very weak magnet. This one clings to my lenses much better and does not slide off in my camera bag like the original one. Will order another to replace my other..... A bit expensive though for what it is..

The concept and convenience of having multiple magnetic rings to hold the filters on your lenses is wonderful. In practice, this system has a lot to be desired. Mainly, in the field, I found the magnets are not very strong and do not lend themselves to stacking even 2 filters. The caps, lens hood and filters kept falling off. Rare earth magnets are expensive, but would be welcome on this system.

Magnet is not very strong. It routinely falls off

I bought this to add to the rest of my Wolverine gear. It's pretty simple, it just clicks onto the front of the filter to protect the surface during transport. It's not on as sturdily as the pinch-type lens caps, so I don't know if I would leave it on if I were traveling long distances with my camera, but for use during normal walking-around shooting it works great.

Why only 4 stars? Because of how it's design it's a bit hard to grip to take off the magnetic filter. I have to sort of pry it with my fingers a bit to take it off my filter and I have a few times taken off the filter with the cap. I might need more practicing before I get used to these magnetic filters but as of right now after a few days of usage I find it a little difficult trying to take it off the filters. Otherwise, the lens cap works great
