I ordered this Kase Wolverine Revolution 82mm Magnetic CPL Shockproof Tempered Optical Glass Filter for landscape photography. If you do landscape photography, then you know how handy a circular polarizing filter can be to eliminate reflections. This Kase CPL is a quality filter that cuts out reflections without adding any color tint, producing flare, or impacting sharpness. What makes it different from any other quality CPL is the mounting system. Instead of screwing into your lens, it attaches magnetically. The filter comes with an adaptor ring that screws into your lens and stays there.I do a lot of long exposure landscape photography so that I can eliminate people who might otherwise appear in my scene and smooth water. I have a Kase magnetic ND filter that will just pop right on top of this CPL. Kase claims that you can stack up to 4 magnetic filters. I've not done that, but I can say that there is no fear of dropping a filter when I've stacked two. These filters are pretty pricey. I'd say that you're probably paying a 15-20% premium to get the magnetic feature. In my mind, that's a very fair markup for the convenience the magnetic mounting system offers.

Kase filters are what the majority of professional photographers use, including me. I have at least a dozen case filters and this 82mm circular polarizer fits the majority of my Nikon Z lenses. This circular polarizer does a fantastic job and I'm loving Kase's new series of Revolution magnetic filters with their increased magnetic attraction. The quality and coatings on Kase filters is unsurpassed by any manufacturer and that's why professional photographers trust them and are willing to pay a premium for them, especially their new Revolution series.

I have used Kase filters for many years. Within a week of using this the front element is scratched and this magnetic filter does not play well with my other Kase filters. It does not have the strength it should to hold other filters and does not fit snugly with other filters causing light leaks. Not al all worth the roughly $170. Extremely dissapointed!
