The charger does not charge this battery correctly. I am not sure if the battery or the charger is defective, but the battery gets extremely hot in the charger that came with the battery. The battery does not keep a charge for more than a couple seconds. I wanted to return the product, but the seller wants me to pay for shipping back- even though the product does not work. I would have even taken a replacement, but this is not offered...

It’s cheaply made and does not work! Unfortunately I did not open and try it for a long time after I received it! Save your money

I wanted to start using my old 25 year old camcorders again. While they work great while plugged in, those janky Ni-CD batteries which were never really any good to begin with wouldn't charge anymore. So those were recycled.This Kastar batter and charger are such a huge improvement! While the charger is only to charge the battery only, it's the right charger for this battery's chemistry. The OEM charger can still be used as an AC adapter.So if you have certain JVC and Matsushita made camcorder models that take a Duracell DR-10 battery pack, this is a good replacement.I just hope it lasts. Time will tell!

I only gave one star because we ordered product and one prong came off on the first use. I called the company customer service and the gentleman was very nice said it would be replaced. Said they would send envelope to send back but would have new sent in meantime. Well no return envelope, no replacement. We needed this battery charger to charge an old camcorder that had pictures of our recently deceased parents so I ordered a new one. This one worked fine but, we are out the purchase price of the first one.
