Looks very sharp - really dresses up my kokanee rod.I spooled it with 12lb braid & used it for kokanee casting / jigging. The size & weight complemented a light 7'1" kokanee rod really well and made casting & jigging for hours a lot less of a strain on the wrist and arm.Casting is super smooth (make sure to adjust spool tension to the weight of the tackle that you're casting), retrieving is smoother and fast (when you need it).Fighting 10-14" kokanee the drag felt great.Overall enjoyed the experience and am looking forward to using it in more fisheries in the PNW.

I'm a big fan of Kast King products, but this is my first reel from them.First impressions out of the box without using it:It's nice looking and the red color will offset it from my other reels. It feels relative smooth and the drag and braking system adjustments turn easily. The reel is on the smaller side, which means those who like to completely palm their reels, should be easily able to do so.I like the handles on the crank. They feel just soft enough to offer grip without being too sticky. The side cover can be removed if you move a tiny switch away from the Lock position and pull outward on that switch. The box it came in is sturdy and padded which would work well for traveling if you remove the reel from the rod.It came with a decent, albeit generic, instruction manual. It didn't really cover this models features and how to use them. It also did not mention how to remove the side cover for cleaning and oiling.A parts diagram was included in the box.Kast King included stickers for labeling the reel with the test weight of the spooled line which is helpful when you have as many reels as I do and can't remember what line is on the reel.So far, it seems like a decent start for a budget level reel. I don't have any expectations that this reel will be on par with my Daiwa Tatulas or other $100 - $200 reels in my arsenal. We will see how it performs once I get to start using it in about a month when fishing season really gets going here. I will update my review at that time.

I received my reel recently. The packaging was great and the reel seems to be very solid. The handle spins freely and the adjustments are crisp. I have not mounted or spooled the reel yet but at first glance it seems to be very well made. This is a sharp looking bait caster.

I was truly surprised by the quality of this reel. I spooled it up with 12b KastKing fluorocarbon line and took it to a local pond. The brakes were easy to adjust and it cast a country mile. It operates smoothly and feels solid. I did not catch anything today but I will update this when I do.

Recently purchased this reel. Cosmetics are good and fits my hand well. Drag seems smooth and magnetic brake system is good. Great value for the price. I would definitely recommend this reel.

Very solid reel. I really liked the color for my setup and so gave it a try. After going out and catching some bass with it. I am very impressed and plan on buying more stuff from this company. I used to spend hundreds of dollars on reels and rods but this feels and acts just like them. No longer need to spend crazy amount of money for a good reel!

I was pleasantly surprised by this reel both in it's build and smoothness at this price point. Light yet sturdy, the KastKing Royale Legend Glory baitcaster is a nice additon to my quiver. Loaded up with 30lb braid on my 7'6" medium heavy rod for my go to redfish setup I can't wait to ride the bull.
