Determine Acorn Size
Determine the acorn size you need by placing a measuring tape on the inside of the acorn and measuring from the base to the tip.
Determine Mounting Method
Figure out the type of neck you need for your fixture - either a fitter neck or a neckless fixture - and the size (outside diameter for fitter necks, diameter of opening for neckless).
Choose Material Type & Color
Choose the material type you need based on the performance characteristics you are looking for.
Choose between acrylic, polycarbonate, or polyethylene, and clear or white.
Choose Accessories
Determine any accessories you would like with your acorn fixture, such as a metal or acrylic final to place atop the fixture, or a wing clip fitter if needed to attach your acorn to a standard amp post.
