If your ceiling fan has an inch to an inch and a half (1 to 1.5) spacing down from your fan blades OUR Fantastic Shade Clips will work with your ceiling fan
Ceiling Fan That May Not Work With Our Fantastic Fan Clips
- If your light housing is more than 10 1/2” in diameter, you will need to order a second strap from our website. If the spider does not allow the light housing to fit through to hang the shade, you will have to cut the spider arms up to 1 ¾ inches, depending on your light housing diameter. You must leave a minimum of 1” past the center spider ring to allow the clips to hold the shade in place. If the sizing still does not work, you will need to order a custom-fit shade.
- If you have an integrated light in your fan, you will most likely need a second fan strap. You can order a second strap from our website.

Super impressive and innovative design. This is an ingenious solution for updating those outdated looking ceiling fans. It gave our room a beautiful update and refresh. Now our ugly ceiling fan looks modern and super stylish. Everything is included in the box and it's all well-constructed with quality materials. Instructions were clear and helpful. We accidentally cut the attachment strap when installing and after contacting the manufacturer, we received a replacement within days. They were eager to help and very courteous, a pleasure to deal with. When we completed the installation, it added an instant sense of romance and sophistication to our room. I'm so glad that I found this on Amazon and I'm honestly not sure why it's not sold in every retail and home store. The pictures speak for themselves.

Loved the easy installation. Was able to install by myself on an old 3 light fixture. Instructions included separate pamphlets for each phase with written instructions and photos for each step and included QR links to videos as well. Love the more modern look with quality materials. Great value!

I’ve hated my outdated ceiling fan since I bought my house and this drum shade kit transformed the look and made it look more modern and in line with the style of my home. Installation was easy and customer service was great. One part was missing in the original shipment and once I let them know, I had a replacement delivered quickly and they called to follow up.

I ordered 4 shades, three baby blue, one black, when they were on sale for $40 each. I oredered one for each of our three bedrooms and one for our living room.The good: Thick, quality material for the shade. Impressive packaging and instructions that made it seem like an upscale, modern product. Greatly improved the look of one bedroom ceiling fan.The meh/bad: Of the four kits I ordered, only one fan could accept this clip. For 2 of those 4, the lights (4 light models) got in the way. Perhaps they would have worked if I cut the spiders as suggested, but after hours of attempting to install in such a way that the shade was not wonky, I gave up. For the third fan, the shade, even after installing the diffuser, made the lighting concentrate directly over one small space. If the fan was in the middle of the room in a 'free' space, it *might* have been OK. However, as the fan is located in an open floor plan living room, and we have a sectional couch, the light created a spotlight above that one seat of the couch. My dude probably would've enjoyed that, as that's 'his spot,' but Mr. Leo-rising really doesn't need more ego-stroking so I returned.Bottom line: Great product, but may not work for many ceiling fans and/or room arrangements. Be sure to be at your most patient when you attempt to install and consider this your 'arms day' workout. IMO, totally worth $40, but I would have passed at $90+. Glad I ordered the full kits vs purchasing my own shade and cutting the shade's spiders as that would have been a very costly mistake on my part.

The shade was easy to put together but the bottom diffuser has paper glued to it. The instructions say to take care removing it and not leave fingerprints when doing so. Tue paper can only be peeled away in small pieces and leaves the diffuser dirty. Awful decision.
