It is convenient for travel when it comes to the weight, collapsible and disposable design; however, it is NOT leak proof. Used for one cat and first time use did not prove that it was leak proof.

Nothing but an accordion folded very flimsy paper grocery sack! No waterproofing or any coating to absorb the waste. “BAD” laster less than two hours before it started to fall apart. Cat had not even used the “BAG” as a litter box before it split the seams. SAVE YOUR MONEY——THIS IS A SCAM!

Thankfully I read the other reviews about the glue. I gently opened the accordion folds and Voila! There was minor separation but I truly needed portable/disposable litter boxes to transport my cat from Chicago (via Milwaukee airport) to Boise (connectimg thru Phoenix). The litter boxes fit in a carry-on case along with with two one-gallon Ziploc bags of litter. My 7am flight was cancelled and I was booked on a 5pm flight. Thankfully I had packed spare boxes. Prior to my journey I set one up at home to familiarize Pandorah with the product. During the flight delay she and I camped in a bathroom stall where she did use the litter box and was able to be outside of her carrier (against Milwaukee airport rules) to pass the long hours. Note that we did not use the pet area as it was sub-zero that day and Pandorah is strictly an indoor cat. Unless you put several inches of litter inside, the floor of the disposable box can leak. For our "one use" in transit purpose the boxes did their job. In photo, litter box is on the far right

I had a 15-hour drive to complete with two older cats who don't ever travel. This made it easy. I set up a crate in the back of my SUV, and when I stopped at a rest stop, I pulled one of these out and let the cats do their business. Then, I put the whole thing in a trash bag and threw it away. They went through three of them on the trip. Great invention!

Bought these to facilitate a cross-country move with our two cats. Never having travelled with cats before, I wasn't sure what kind of setup they would need. These are made of lightweight paper and sort of glued together. Out of the ten I ordered, one came apart before I unfolded it.Our cats are not used to covered boxes and they used these just fine. I set up a fresh one each night and then threw the whole thing away in the morning. Because they are so lightweight I kept a cardboard flat underneath.Overall, great travel/temp solution and I will use them again for our next move.

great idea, bought for move to another state but as soon as we tried to pull litter box apart, the front and back apart. the glue didnt hold and the cat ended up getting litter everywhere. had to put a plastic tub under litter box to contain the mess from front and back coming off. after a few days of use tried to move it with the handles and they just ripped, would not recommend nor ever buy again

The Eco friendly travelcat litter box was not sturdy enough when removing from the car and easily ripped causing a mess

I was REALLY skeptical to spend $20 on this purchase, and a even more skeptical when it showed up. However, I was THRILLED with the product. I just moved my cat (who is used to travel) from DC to Afghanistan with an 11 hour layover in Istanbul. I bought these for her to use on "our break" at the hotel. They're essentially made out of a sturdy paper bag, with a bit of a lining. This makes them really light, and the fanning structure means they take up almost no room at all in a backpack/etc. The label reads that you can use them for up to a week, I'm not sure about that, but we did use one at the house for about 2 days before leaving so kitty would recognize it as a litterbox and get used to it. She had no problem, and the litterbox did not leak or anything. (I put a towel down on the carpet just in case, but it was dry!). I brought an extra with me when I leave with her again, but will definitely be buying these in the future. They're kind of expensive, are so worth the money for traveling!I'm not sure I'd recommend using these (unaltered) for really large cats. Mine is about 11 pounds (She's a healthy weight, but has a larger build) and fit in it well. I think a chubby cat or a bigger one might have a bit of trouble getting through the hole. In that case, I'd recommend cutting off the top so they could just step in.
