I feel like all bad damage happens when things fall below the frost line.. Rusty bolts, cracked gaskets, etc etc..I stuffed this between the oil reservoir and the frame, and simply left it connected through a thermostatic auto switching plug, and put the bike to rest over the winter as usual under a cover. I just wanted something to keep it bobbing along, a few degrees above at thew harshest times of year, and I think this will really help out, long term with it's longevity. It hangs out in a non heated garage and I felt this was the least I could do.. Seems to be working fine.

Great product. I use it to warm up a Shorai Li-On motorcycle battery for my Ducati 696. works great to start the Li-ON battery. I warmed the battery in thick aluminium foil padding and inserter the heater underneath the battery. it is not directly in contact with the battery. Also I keep it plugged for not more than 5 - 10 minutes. warms up the battery with no issues with over heating. battery is always on a NOCO charger. no issues starting up on cold days. great product. the size is great for a small motorcycle battery,

Works well but is not quite adequate for my V8.Should work well for smaller engines.Ideally suited for snow blowers or garden tractors.

comes with an adhesive backing and can be used on so many things. a motorcycle or car battery, put it on your wiper fluid tank so it doesn't freeze up on the really cold days. also can be used around exposed pipes, faucets for those below zero days and nights. i have even used this on the outside of a bowl we keep outside for squirrels to keep it from freezing so the little critters have access to water when all else is frozen. besides being so very versatile it is low wattage too. a very very good device, so many uses and so inexpensive.

I have a expensive 4 stroke outboard and was too sick to winterize it properly plus I want to use it during freezing periods when the water is still open . Put two on my outboard one on the tail or drive and the other right on the block by the oil stick . It is a small little mercury . Didn't hurt the paint and stuck on with just whiping the surface clean . I plan on removing the tail one in spring and getting new next year . The one in the engine compartment on the block I just may leave on and reuse . It isn't going anywhere . Well today the outside temp is 30 . The indoor garage temp is 45 and I checked the motor and it ranges from 70 to 55 so far after 3 hours . It is warmer where I need it and cool at the extreme ends where no water would be . I put one on my pressure washer though I always use winterizer or antifreeze in it with seal conditioner by Karcher from amazon . Since I have these and a heat tape on my outdoor spigot up to the outside wall I can use it year round without worry of damage . Yes it costs a few bucks a month but is worth it . Since electric went up it costs over $200 a month to heat the garage and with these I can avoid that except when I work out there and need it . That is with some insulation and a insulated door too . It is a old 82 % gas furnace though . These work great . I bought the temperature block switch another poster recommended that turns the power on at 35 and off at 50 f . I run one 24/7 to be safe on the block and the other on the switch with a led light to easily tell when its on . That temp block was a good tip . Farm Innovators Thermo Cube Thermostatically Controlled Outlet 35 50f . No complaints here and I would of been better off with 50 watt ones but my application didn't have the space for it . Hoping they can hold up to below zero weather like one poster found in my application . Will buy another if I need too . I recommend this product but am not sure I would recommend how I am using it in a off label manner .

Hubby wanted this to help keep his motorcycle running for winter time fun with it. We are in Alaska and it can get very very cold and his bike (TW200) would sometimes get too cold to want to start. He studs the tires so he can ride all year and decided to get this to help heat things up and keep his bike running. Works like a charm! It was too windy to ride much but he was able to go out and start it up with ease. He's very happy. We'd previously gotten a larger one for our truck as well, which is what gave him the idea for his bike. Would very much recommend it.

I plugged it in and it did not work. I also bought a 50 watt Kat's and it worked fine. If you order one check it out before you go to the trouble of installing it as I did, just to have to uninstall.

This silicon pad heater does exactly what I expected it to do. At 5 square inches it uses 25 watts and hour for a $1.49 a month. Additionally it has potential to cost me less as it seems to run intermitantly kicking on and off every few seconds. The heater takes but 25 seconds to get up to it maximum operating temperature of 313 degrees F and the back side is roughly 90 degrees F on the silicon side. I use it to heat a waste veggie tank on my generator and it manages to keep the warm end liquid in a -8 degree F garage. Mind you, my tank is but 4.25 gallons. In any case, this product is an inexpensive and efficient solution to my troubles.
