Bought this for a 2001 Ford Ranger, that kept going high idle when I’d depress the clutch on my truck. But also had a friend that had an erratic idle on his 2001 Ford Mustang. Turns out in both cases it was a problem with the Idle air control valve sticking due to being dirty. In my case, the problem could not be resolved by simply cleaning the idle air control valve. I like this product, as it has a good price on it and comes with a new gasket. This could not be any simpler or easy to install, as it is held on by two bolts and is plug and play. It is as easy as plugging in an electrical plug and tightening two bolts. Takes no longer then 5 minutes to swap out if that. The only thing I dislike is that I needed to buy a new one, I just cannot see paying a parts house $70 for a part that shouldn’t cost $30 to buy. But take it from an old mechanic, if you have a fuel injected car that is idling erratic check your idle air control valve that might be the problem.
