I have used this little claw anchor so many time! Last week, we got caught in a heavy rain while floating down a river. I took shelter with my three companions under a bridge and using my anchor, tied all 4 kayaks to the structure and it held us until the rain passed. So light, versatile and easy to use! My friend was so impressed that trip that I had to send him the link to buy his own! Highly recommend this claw anchor!

This clamp-style "anchor" is a great way to secure your kayak or canoe when you want to get out and explore while making sure your boat stays put. Hook up to a tree, shrub, or other firmament that fits in the grips, and you're good to go. The clamp and rope assembly is small enough to fit in the cargo bin of most kayaks and will be no problem for just about any canoe.

I just bought a new kayak and had to tie off with just a rope when I went out the first time. When I got back, I ordered this anchor. Much better! When I bought my 13' inflatable kayak, I wasn't even thinking about having to tie off to keep my ride from floating away. I should have.This anchor is much easier to use and you don't have to mess around with tying and untying knots. It has a D ring to attach to your boat on one end, a ten foot line of rope and the grip anchor on the other end. The rope feeds through the handle of the clamp and when you place the anchor around a tree or post, it causes tension and makes the clamp even harder to come off. You are limited to 4" when it comes to what you can place the clamp around, but I'm in a kayak so I doubt I'll have to tie off to anything bigger than that. It fits on a 4x4 post and that's about the largest thing I've needed to tie off to. It's compact and doesn't take up a lot of room, which is a plus. It's strong enough and the rope is thick enough to handle my needs.

I am a big fan of these branch anchors. They are great for securing your kayak and keeping it in place.I've successfully secured up to 3 kayaks at once. I wish the rope was already attached to the anchor and clip. But, that is a minor complaint.

Handy addition to my kayak equipment. I like to stop on the lakes and rivers picnic, photos , many reasons. This grip is very easy to use and so convenient! I bought more for gifts
