I bought a used kayak recently and have been getting her fixed up. One of the todo items was replacing some of the bungee and fittings. This kit has both and was cheaper than buying a roll of bungee separately. Now that's what i call a good value.

This kayak rigging kit from Apaspoil is pretty much just what I was looking for to help make over my kayak. It is older (try 14 years) and definitely needs the help. My marine screws finally rusted out and all my rigging rotted a couple of years ago. I didn't kayak for awhile but am ready to start again. There is more than enough cord for me to rerig my kayak several times. The marine screws must be universal because they fit the holes where my existing screws came out. I used to just have plain hooks for the rigging so these D Ring and secure hook replacements are much nicer and more secure.My main kayak (the one I'm working over) does not use scupper plugs but I have a sit on top that does. These plugs fit it just fine and it's never a bad idea to have spare plugs.That's it! This is a thorough kit and I would get it again.

If your bungee cords have worn or broken, here's a nicely assembled kit to rebuild your kayak's rigging. If your kayak never had a bungee rigging, now you can add one. Toss in 4 scupper plugs for added value. Plot/plan your layout before drilling holes, mistakes are hard to undo.

I ordered this to fix up my kayak. The old bungee cords were rotted and some of the hardware was rusted out. This kit had everything I needed to replace the worn out parts.The bungee cord that comes with it is thick and seems decent quality. Got plenty of it too - more than enough to redo all my deck rigging. The hooks and D-rings work fine. They're plastic but feel sturdy enough. All the screws fit right into the existing holes on my kayak which saved me from drilling new ones.I don't need the scupper plugs for my kayak but they came with the kit anyway. I'll keep them as spares or give them to a buddy. The whole kit was cheaper than just buying bungee cord by itself at the marine store. Installation was straightforward - just unscrewed the old stuff and put the new hardware in.For the price you get a good amount of stuff. My kayak deck rigging looks new again and everything holds tight. Does what I needed it to do.

More parts that I'm going to need but it does the trick for replacing my luggage straps on the back. I'll update the review once I get a good chance to test it a good haul with camping gear.

Mostly got these for the scupper plugs but the included hardware and the bungee cable are really good too!

Kit showed up and included everything listed in the photos, except it had 10 feet of bungee cord instead of 8. Not complaining.have a kayak project that is basically cleaning up and removing all the junk that was on it, then modding it for my use. After removing all the non-marine rated hardware, cleaning up all the rust, and just routine maintenance; I made a list of missing bits from the parts list i found at the manufacturer's site. This kit includes most of what was missing or damaged.When I got the kayak, half the tie down were replaced with truck tie downs, all rusted and falling off, had to cut some off... there was a boat cleat that was rusted and falling apart, it was also the only part that was mounted with stainless hardware... basically, it was a massive cf.As this is an older sit in kayak, i have no use for the scupper plugs, so will be tossing 2 to my brother for his sit on kayak, and will keep 2 in my dry bag in case someone on the water needs them. I am cautiously optimistic that the metal bits are actually stainless, will do a simulated corrosion test on them later to see if they are salt water worthy or just freshwater. Will update the review at that time if i remember.
