This phone mount is perfect. I installed it on my kayak track in seconds (just as shown in the pictures within the listing, and it feels totally secure. Although the instructions/pictures in the Amazon listing mention screws, they’re not shown in the pictures. The screws are what hold the “arms” in place along the vertical side of the phone/mount—they enable you to perfectly adjust and set the tension for your phone/case. The “arms” at the bottom provide tension via some sort of spring, so you pull down to release your phone. The tension is significant, ensuring that the phone stays incredibly snug, but it’s not so much tension that you can’t get the phone out one-handed if you need to.I don’t think this will work well for incredibly thick cases (like some of the Otterbox cases that look like a brick), but I think it would work perfectly fine with every cell phone case I’ve ever owned. I’ve had a cell phone somehow crawl out of a deep pocket of my pants and dive into the deepest part of a lake before, so I’m thrilled to now have this on my kayak.

Recently I've only had a flimsy phone holder cubby attachment onto my cup holder, so I was looking for something to replace that and ended up finding this! So far I have been very impressed with the build quality, as it's very robust and sturdy. Not once have I been worried about my phone falling out of this holder! I also like the look and feel of the holder as well, really showcasing it's durability! Overall I am really happy about this purchase, and now I just need to get a mobile fish finder to really take advantage of this!!

This a secure holder. It took me a little bit to figure out how to adjust it to my phone's size, since you need to adjust the side clamps by loosening and retightening some screws. Now that I have it set though it's easy to take my phone in and out. I like all the different points of articulation. I can get this in any angle I need it. Keep in mind this isn't a quick magsafe thing, this isn't for if you frequently need your phone in your hand, this is to hold onto your phone securely for a long time to ensure you don't lose it in the water.

This phone holder is a great option for securing your phone in your kayak as long as you have slot tracks available. It takes a little bit of finesse to accurately adjust for your phone. The top to bottom adjustment is automatic as it’s spring loaded however the side arms must be adjust per device. Adjustment of the side arms are achieved via screws on the backside of the holder. It seems like it’s best to have the side arms a tad loose as it makes it a little easier getting the phone in and out of the holder and still seems to be secure. I placed the spring loaded arms in the downward position so that the more spread out arms are at the top so that they don’t block the front camera of the phone. My one complaint on this holder is that it is a little difficult to get the arm tight enough on the slot mount and actual phone holder to keep the phone in position. There appears to be better options available however those are triple the cost of this holder. For me, this will suffice just fine! I am curious if this holder will work with a phone tether on my phone as this would provide backup for my phone if something bad were to happen.

Super sturdy construction and good value. Two ball swivel with easy locking knob and adjustable side clamps. The top clamp is spring loaded, the clamps are grippy rubber. The best part is the T slot mounting foot which makes it compatible with many systems!

This phone holder works great. I have an iPhone with an otter box cover and it fits perfectly. The sides adjust in and out with screws and the top is spring loaded. The fit is tight so no worries losing your phone. It also comes with the mount to attach to your kayak rails with 360 degree adjustment. The best part is you can use your phone without removing it from the mount. I definitely should have already had one of these. You won’t be disappointed.
