I am the master of using products for their unintended use, but believe it or not, I am actually going to use these as intended, to hang kayaks.Pros: The strapping material is decent quality and measures 32" x 1 3/8". It is a little thin for heavy items, but should work okay for some lightweight plastic kayaks. I definitely would not use them to hang a wooden canoe. The hooks, buckles, and carabiners are also on the light side. These are designed so that you can hang a second kayak off the bottom of a first.Cons: I wasn't impressed by the Velcro, it looks scraggly and poorly made. I think that it is where you are supposed to attach your paddles. The stitching is also a little lackluster in some places, with some loose threads.
