If you’re like a lot of us that love our 2nd gen Prius (2004 - 2009) then you’ve noticed that the stock armrest in the Prius was not up to the task and after 15-20 years the material gives way and flattens and picks up dirt that you can’t get out. I spent $100 to buy a replacement armrest just last year. When I saw this rugged cover, I knew that it might be the solution to our problem happening again. It feels very durable and not so firm that it hurts when your arm rests on it. I was able to slide the contoured cover over the armrest with little effort making the install under a minute. It fit like a glove and didn’t affect our ability to open the compartment beneath at all. It does add a little weight, so the compartment lid (aka armrest) will want to close on you. We are very please with the look and functionality of this cover. Hopefully it will last as long as we keep our car!
