Brakes are supposedly for "wide wheel rim". That is why I spent the money. Misleading description. This brake does NOT work with anything currently considered as "wide" for road bikes. I bought these to accommodate 28mm road tires on carbon wheels. They rub severely against the top of the tires during rotation. As a tire gets "wider" it also gets "taller", meaning that the tire circumference usually is increased. They are nice brakes, but you will need to use something like 25mm tires or maybe 26mm size tires. I ended up modifying Dura Ace calipers to get the Conti 28s to clear the path of the tires.
