Great quality leather KEDS sneakers. I loved these when I first saw them and, surprise, they came in my size! Big kids 3.5W. They have a memory foam insole and Great for walking the dog, or long shopping trips. I had a pair like this in Junior High. Worth twice the price. Considering buying a second pair, in case they aren't available when I need another pair. Love the 1960's retro look. Saddle shoes were all the rage to wear with our jeans, cuffs rolled up, or with our favorite poodle skirt...LOL!

You guys...these are some really awesome shoes! I have a really, REALLY hard and miserable time trying to find shoes for my 11 year old daughter. She has so many issues with clothing and shoes and she’ll only wear something if it reaches the pinnacle of comfort. And these shoes did it!She wears a children’s Size 4 Wide {this size also converts to a Women’s Size 5.5D), and I had a truckload of shoes delivered to us for her to try on. According to my daughter, there was something wrong with each and every pair, except these. She instantly loved them because they were extremely comfortable, and she also liked that they were plain, but not too plain courtesy of the saddle style. She has been calling them her “tuxedo shoes”. She said they were roomy, but fit perfectly. I checked to make sure her toes ended at the right place, and they are indeed a perfect, roomy fit. We didn’t have to sacrifice fit for comfort because she has room to wiggle her toes, but because the length is spot on for her size, her heels don’t slip when she walks. My daughter’s only complaint about these shoes is that they do get hot on her feet if she is playing outdoors when the weather is warm. We live in the desert and it was over 110° today, so her feet became quite warm during recess. The shoes don’t have any vent grommets, so the heat doesn’t escape easily. If you’re looking for a wide width shoe, these are as good as it gets. They are a true wide width allowing people with a wider than standard foot to not feel like their feet are being squeezed all day. They also have a good insole with a nice arch. I am learning just how hard it is to find a truly wide shoe with good arch support, and as long as my daughter is happy wearing this style of shoe, I will happily buy them for her. These shoes are so well made, also. Seriously, they are impressively constructed. I remember having leather Keds when I was a preteen, and I also remember wearing them until I finally outgrew them and they still were in good enough condition to hand them down to my younger cousin. Those shoes really stood up to a beating, and the ones I bought for my daughter appear to be ready for the same challenge. All the seams are super strong and perfectly stitched, yet the leather is still supple and soft. The soles have excellent grip and are strong but still flexible. Heck, even the laces feel nicer than what you normally get in a tennis shoe.My daughter hasn’t said anything about this, so I’m not going to mention it to her, but these are not light shoes. Remember the days before athletic shoes were made of lightweight foam soles and mesh uppers? Back when shoes felt like they had some substance to them? This is that kind of shoe. If you’re absolutely, positively looking for a light as a feather shoe, this style is not for you. Parts of the shoe are thickly cushioned and the soles are heavy and sturdy. To put it in laymen’s terms, if you threw this shoe at someone’s head, it would hurt.I’m personally giving these shoes a 5 star rating because I am so happy to have found a comfortable shoe for my picky daughter. They are very well made, and it’s virtually impossible to find a wide shoe with good arch support. As long as you’re aware of what you’re getting with regards to the weight and warmth of this shoe {and I’ve really tried to lay it all out there) then you should find these to be comfortable and durable. Highly recommended!**Note - If my review has been helpful to you, click on the button below and let me know!**

I love the saddle oxford look of these shoes!! My daughters' school uniforms are blue and white checkered, and these are adorable with it! I looked all over for a pair of saddle oxfords that were decently priced, and I tried these not expecting to love them as much as we do; however these were perfect for our needs. The shoes do fit like most Keds (very narrow), but they are comfortable like any other Keds sneakers. The inside padding is a memory foam material, and the leather material is thicker than the traditional Keds canvas material, so it does provide more warmth and support. The white does show scuffs very easily (pictures included), but since the material isn't canvas, the shoes are MUCH easier to spot clean with a damp cloth and a little all-purpose cleaner.I bought one pair several years ago for my eldest daughter, and those shoes are still going strong as a hand-me-down for my youngest daughter now. I also recently purchased another pair so that both girls can wear matching outfits (yes...I am that mom!!), but I wanted to share my experience with the price differences. I believe I paid around $30 for the first pair, and when browsing the different sizes for this new pair, I found that the price is very different depending on the size you buy. For some reason the 11.5 that I just bought was only $7.35!!!! I don't know if it was a mistake or what, but I snapped them up as soon as I saw that price. My daughter will have a bit of extra wiggle room for her toes, but I couldn't not buy them at that price!! Definitely worth browsing through the different sizes to get a good price...especially for kids shoes since their feet grow so quickly anyway :-)

It is VERY hard to find a cheaper private school shoe for my ever growing daughter. What's worst is the fact that they NEVER hold up past a few months if you buy them from local shoe stores regardless of the price you pay! They are always made of faux leather that cracks and eventally looses all benefits of being a shoe, plus looks trashy.THESE Keds shoes have made it 1 1/2 years in my daughters school with every school day use. They are not cracked or showing signs of needing to be thrown out. They are getting to small and it's time to step her up a size. As long as I have need for this type of shoe I will only buy this brand!Another note for mothers who like following rules, is that for my daughters school they wanted black and white shoes, but I bought these and prayed it would be okay as they were all i could find online that look in good quality. It turns out that they are so dark navy blue that nothing has ever been said concerning the color! :)
