Not worth the money, you can feel the shoe tread inside the shoe, there is no padding...says it made the Vietnam but its a china company. Do not buy!

These are a great pair of shoes! My dad has purchased several pairs of keen boots/shoes they he primarily uses for work. He is on his feet all day unloading trucks and he was thrilled to try these shoes. He was not disappointed. He quickly noted that they were incredibly comfortable and light. The style is versatile and makes them great for work, things like hiking, and just everyday wear. These are definitely a worthwhile addition to anyone’s wardrobe.

Keens are a favorite but not this pair.Good traction on the bottom for hikes that need grip.Good ventilation for warmer weather. Not waterproof. Other Keens are better in this regard. The fit is not the same as other Keens; these run smaller for the size stated.Seem to be durable.Lightweight enough to not weigh you down.Comfort is not the same as other Keens.Quality what Keen is known for but these aren't meeting that mark. Not worth the 134.99 price.

This is my first Keen shoes and I'm impressed. I've always gone with the usual and popular brands like Nike and Adidas, but have been finding my attention being caught by other brands. This Keen for example, I had to look up online before getting here on Amazon and have only found good to great reviews.Anyway, on to the shoes. This mens Hightrail out-of-the-box looks good. Its styling is, I admit, still kind of typical and not too off from how other low-cut hiking shoes are designed. Being status quo with shoes is not necessarily bad, I suppose it really depends on who you're selling it to. What I mean here is that this pair shoes will appeal to most.So the outside body really is a composite of different materials, for the most part double-stitched for durability, different cuts for styling, and color choice for the Dark Earth/Oak Buff is oddly an accurate name to somehow describe it. There really is no off-color that stands out, except for the white stripe centerline (I'm assuming this is reflective too) and the light orange sole. This light orange outer sole is divided into two half sections with different tread patterns on each side supposedly for varying grip on terrain. They felt sticky when touched and rubbed so grip is really there. The black portion of the sole is foam-y and adds to the comfort of the shoes. In combination with the inner soles, these shoes are more comfortable than most other shoes I've tried out-of-the-box. I have plantar fasciitis and am very sensitive about this. Adding insoles only make these shoes great for walking, running, or hiking.Inside of the shoes has great fit and I found wider towards the toe area, so this will be great for those with wider feet. If your feet are not wider then this will be roomy, which is not necessarily a bad thing. You may just need to tighten up the shoelaces a bit so your feet don't slide forward as much. Talking about the shoelaces, these are longer than I wanted it to but it is better that way than having it too short out-of-the-box. This shoes is also well-ventilated with majority of the shoe body being perforated. This shoes look bulky from the outside but with the softer soles, roomy interior, and ergonomic foot shape, it will feel lighter. I know, it is kind of deceiving. In terms of value, with so many other hiking shoes alternatives out there, especially with the more popular brands, I see that this may find difficulty winning the hearts of many with its price range. However, after trying these on, I understand why it was placed within that price range but will really have to fight for what is popularly perceived as a good pair of shoes. To me, this seem to be an 'underdog' not just with a bark but with a bite

I really like how well they seem to be made, though I'll say I'm still struggling a little bit to get used to them as they don't have anywhere near the cushion I'm used to having in my shoes. The first few days of wearing them, it felt like I was walking on flat boards or something. It's gotten somewhat better since then and they are holding up superbly despite how much work I have to do outside, but I'm still considering some insoles that'll soften the feeling up a little bit.

These are comfortable and the venting definitely works, I could feel a distinct breeze over my toes when the wind started blowing. The tread is quite aggressive and definitely best suited for outdoor use. Not that it has any trouble indoors, but the tread is 'knobby', if that makes sense. I wore these all over on a recent trip overseas and they held up well. My feet did get sore wearing them, but I can't say for sure whether that was the fault of the shoes or the distances I was walking.

These shoes are a solid choice if you're after something that feels light on your feet but can still take a beating on the trail. The leather feels tough and well-made, which makes sense since it’s sourced from certified tanneries. I like knowing that part of the focus is on more responsible materials, even if I mostly buy for function. The vented mesh works—you can feel the airflow, especially on warmer days or after a few miles in. They don’t feel stuffy at all, which is usually my issue with hiking shoes that include leather. Even when the trail gets rocky or uneven, the grip holds up thanks to the deep lugs, and the stability shank adds a bit of confidence underfoot without making the shoe feel stiff.I also like the footbed. It has enough bounce to stay comfortable all day without packing down quickly. The LuftCell cushioning feels noticeably lighter than most trail shoes I've worn, almost like there’s a bit of lift in every step. These run true to size and hug the foot without being tight, thanks to the contoured fit. They're easy to clean, too—I’ve just been brushing dirt off with a damp cloth, and they still look decent after a few muddy hikes. If you're looking for something breathable, light, and still protective enough for real trail conditions, this is a solid pick.
