They're very comfortable they have a great toe box and they seem to repel the water very well.

experience with the previous pairs, shock absorbing and weight bearing elemwwnts at the toe and heel area are effiecent. appears there is no supportive elementcushion for the metatarsal / in the sole, almost 4-5 weeks after the shoe is woren even a 105 lbs individual, it felt almost walking on the ground in particular at the metatasal area. the water proof aspet is desirable.

I have bought Keens many times before and I keep going back to this low boot. I like the waterproofing, the stability, and the fit for my feet. Sized perfectly. Love the traction for the soles.

Like most of the people reviewing, I have had several pairs of Keens. I could not replace my beloved Terradora (9 years old) because they didn't have my size. So I tried on 3 different waterproof styles: Circadia, Targhee II, and Headout. All low height. I found the Circadia to be very stiff with an uncomfortable pinch at the toe area when you push off, the Targhee's were HUGE and bulky - which on a size 10 foot is not a good look. Got the Headout and ordered a 1/2 size bigger based on frequent reports in the reviews. Added my own superfeet inserts and voila! a great fit. No pinching, ample room without feeling loose, no heel pinching. No arch support though so would recommend inserts if you like to feel some support.

I have purchased several pairs of Keen shoes over the years and love every pair. They are wide and roomy, no cramps or "bites" from their shoes. They have minimal, or maybe no arch support, just the way I like it. They wear like "iron" and are quality made. If it states leather, it is LEATHER, not "leather" as in a recent pair I purchased by another brand that were vinyl or synthetic "leather". Keen are great shoes, buy them, chances are you will love them.

It's a good looking shoe. The problem is in design/construction. The place where the tongue is attached at the top forms a sharp "V" that pierces down into the top of my foot. Additionally, the right shoe inexplicably persecutes the ball of my foot. Just the right one. My foot does not hurt in any other shoe. I really tried to break them in, wearing them inside on carpet. I tried for a month, but I give up! I cannot imagine going out on a hike. Rather, I CAN imagine being stuck on a mountain, in pain, holding up my companions, and being unable to walk properly in any shoe for some time thereafter. I had already tried the Keen Targhee model and experienced the same problem with the tongue attachment. I tried with 2 different pairs, THEN read reviews and found that others found them painful in the same way. I truly hoped these would be different. I have had good experiences with Keen in the past. Time to move on. And time for Keen to make the top of the tongue wider and the attachment to fit on top of the tongue edge, away from the wearer's foot.

This is my 1st pair of Keens. I’ve heard great things about them. That there’s no need to break them in. I went to a store and tried on several different styles of Keens. Loved the fit, but didn’t like the prices. So, I bought these on here for $65. The store didn’t have these to try on. This pair is nothing like the others that I tested out. These are really well made. Look very durable. But, they are STIFF. These are not ready to wear out of the box like some reviews stated. Not for me, anyway. I only saw a couple of reviews mention they are narrow. These definitely are. Also mentioned was there was no arch support. I have high arches and use a special insole. When I took the insole out of these, they didn’t look anything like the other styles I tried on. I was surprised there was no arch, whatsoever! The others were comfortable without using my own insoles. I’m on the fence about returning them and trying another style, or getting a shoe stretcher to help break them in. If they weren’t made so well, this would be a no brainer. I love the look of these and the color combo. One last thing, another review mentioned something sticking through the side of the tongue on the right shoe. These have the same issue. Going to try and see if there’s plastic or something that needs to be pulled out.
