Needed a tow strap to keep in the truck. Haven't needed to use it yet but looks to be well made and will come in handy when I need it.

I purchased The Keeper - 4" x 30’ Emergency Vehicle Towing & Recovery Strap, but not for it's intended purpose. I bought a double rod, heavy duty cloths rack, on wheels for my closet, & it's perfect. I recommend that the Keeper should be purchased with the cloth rack, because your cloths do hang out wider than the rack. When moving your closet on wheels, the cloths have a tendency of grabbing items as you walk by them; similar to store shopping with a child in a cart that can't keep their hands to themselves (I Love Lucy moment). Now that you have the picture of what happened; I used the Keeper to strap down/cinch up the unruly cloths. The 4" strap is soft & wide enough that it won't tear up your cloths, because it's 30' you will be able to wrap it completely around the clothing rack enough times to catch the garments. The loops on either end can be secured to the rods; strapping can be looped around the supporting rods. LOL works great!

I purchased this strap because it was labelled at a “tow strap.” I planned on using to pull objects (vehicles, bushes, stumps, etc). The problem is that this “tow strap” does stretch. That’s a problem when pulling on a fixed object, you don’t want stretch. I have used this strap to pull out a several deep rooted bushes and the strap did not break, but it makes me nervous pulling objects with this strap when paired with a steel shackle because if this strap breaks, the shackle becomes a projectile. Maybe I will just use soft shackles with this strap. Just be aware, THIS STRAP STRETCHES!

I got 2 different straps. This review is for the 30ft 15,000 lbs, but I will talk about both.I already own quite a few Keeper products, and they have all served me well. I decided to grab a couple of their tow straps after I got stuck in my work vehicle, and a land scaper pulled me out with his straps. He has Keeper straps. He said they were great. He used them for pulling out bushes and stumps. I got the 20ft 11,000lbs for my personal vehicle and the 30ft 15,000lbs for my work vehicle. I already owned a tow rope, but I wanted these straps because they are stronger and longer. I ordered them a couple of months ago for a couple of reasons. Here in Massachusetts, we usually have a bunch of snow storms, and people always end up off the side of the road. I deliver in a very rural area for UPS. There are barely any asphalt roads. It's all dirt and mud lanes. I was waiting for a snowstorm or to get stuck while working to test out the straps. This year was strange because we didn't get any snow. Also, I haven't gotten stuck since I ordered them. During the warmer months, straps come in handy when we go ride trails and don't have winches. I still wanted to test these straps out, so I called my neighbor and asked him if I could tow him around the neighborhood. He said "No I'll tow you." I laughed because, as you will see in my pictures, I should have been pulling him. I like the loops on the end of the straps. It makes strapping it to the tow hooks easy and securely. These are definitely something everyone should have in their vehicle. Even if you have a car, it's still nice to have. I've got stuck quite a few times at work. Sometimes, another truck will pull up to see if I need a hand, but they don't have straps themselves. If I had straps in my vehicle, one of these trucks could have helped. The last time I got stuck, a landscaper was driving buy and had straps. He had me unstuck in seconds. Usually, if the work vehicle gets stuck, we have to call our in-house mechanic, and then he has to come with chains to free us, but it can sometimes take a couple hours if he is really busy. Both straps are well made. This 30ft 15,000lbs strap is 10 feet longer. They have the same width, but this strap is a little thicker to handle the added weight capacity. The stitching is thick and clean. This unit has a black stitch down the middle. These straps are very durable and well-made. I like that they are lighter then chains and won't rust. There isn't much more I can say about tow straps, but I think everyone should have one for emergencies.

One awesome piece of must have equipment. Even if you don't do off roading and such, it's still so good to have in your car/truck/suv. I got it Sept. 2014 and it's now March 2015. I bought it and put it under my passenger seat in my old 250 Dodge Ram 4x4.Since then I've towed 5 vehicles. A small suv that bottomed out over a hill. A full size truck in the snow. A Cadillac cts sunk in the mud. and the list goes on. One vehicle was towed for several miles. The strap has been dragged on the road, run over, it even got a 1 inch hole put in it by someone's tow hook when the strap loosed up then got tight again. I didn't even know the hole was there until we were done. That was the first tow. The strap has been fine even with the 1 inch whole in it. I don't write reviews often, but this strap was worthy of writing one.The loops are perfect to go inside a 2in receiver and then put a hitch pin through. Very well stitched too. If I want a shorter length sometimes I'll go around the towed vehicle's recovery point and then put one loop inside and other and then put both in the receiver which works surprisingly well.I guess one thing to be careful of is what you put it around. You wouldn't want it to be something sharp enough to possibly cut the strap, though this hasn't nearly happen to me yet. Finally, these straps are much, much, much safer than chains. I can't stress how careful you have to be with chains. They will break and each side sling shots back and breaks windshields back windows and hurts people bad. I've heard of people being killed with chains before. Not only that, but straps are much lighter and take up less room in the car and don't leave rust stains on stuff. Win win win(:Bottom line get a strap, this one is a good one.
