I returned this given it was a bit hard and didn't have the "give" of other bumpers out there. The black also looked like it may scrape off on white hulls.

You can't place these the same way on the inside corners as the hardware only works for one side. Meaning, if you are facing your dock slip, and you want these on the inside corner, only one can fit properly. The other side will not extend the same, which exposes the mounting screws and your boat WILL hit it. They need to package as a left and right, instead of two of the same, as they are not universal in that regard.

We were unsure about these dock wheels as most we have seen are the inflated type. However, these have been helpful. They move as they should when the boat rubs them and does not leave any marks.

I am using this on the corner of my floating dock. Two metal brackets fit on the sides near the corner, and support a post which holds a wheel. The wheel acts as a bumper, protecting both the dock and the watercraft. This is a good idea, but I think it may be better used on my stationary dock, because watercraft can still cause my floating dock to move into the I-beam pilings when bumping the wheel.

PROS: Nice size (actually 12 inches in diameter), strong steel brackets, versatile fit for straight runs, angles, or full corners, comes with all hardware, easy to assemble and install, no inflation needed, appears to be decent flexible impact resistant materials. CONS: No bearings, just a plastic sleeve for rotation, steel may rust overtime especially if used in salt water areas, so unknown longevity, UV resistance, and possible sticking with dirt debris and salt getting in it overtime, and you'll need two for most applications. Overall good value compared to some others, (bearings and alum or stainless plates would make this design a real winner.)

We have a rental boat operation and our boats are black, so the color of this is great.I'd expected hard plastic, but was pleasantly surprised that it's a more soft and pliable material. The size is just right.Best part: I can mount it on a corner or along the side of a dock.Always nice to have options.

The wheel was a little smaller than I expected which is great - I thought it looked too big in the photos for my taste. At about a foot in diameter, it hits the sweet spot for being big enough to handle larger boats without taking up too much space on my floating dock.I also expected it to be made of hard plastic, which would crack in the sun. I was pleasantly surprised to find it is actually soft rubber, and fairly thick too. Not going to damage anyone's keel, and it will last longer out in the elements. Now I just need to get another one for the other end of the dock!

If anyone who owns a boat and has a dock. This is a great bumper to protect your precious boat. Initially based on its look, it looked like a hard plastic molded wheel but its actually a very thick foam wheel which is definitely suitable for bumper guards. Installation was pretty simple depending on the dock. Quality feels very good and well made.
