It works the same as others costing more than double the price of this one. I wouldn't ride without one. I spent thousands of dollars on brand and custom packed seats, and still developed sorebutt disease on long rides. With this and other independent air bubble seats, it makes sitting for hours comfortable for me. The gel seats take less effort, but aren't even close to the comfort of these seats.IMPORTANT: You sit "in it" not "on it". Which means you want to adjust the seat so that your kiester is just above the seat. If you fill it all the way up you're sitting "on it" and it won't be comfortable like it should. You want to fill it so some of the bubbles under your legs will have more air than the boney part of your kiester. So if you fill it up, sit in it and let air out until you can just feel the seat, then put just a hair more air in it so you aren't touching the bike seat. If you go over a railroad track or something your kiester will touch the bike seat, but normal riding, your riding on air. That's the way it's designed to work. If you fill it properly, ride for 50 miles, then take it off and tide for 10 miles, you'll wonder how you ever rode without it.

The seat that came with my Honda CTX700X is not very comfortable. This item is air-adjustable and adds comfort and shock absorption. Great Price and works as described.

I wasn’t expecting much out of an air filled cushion but this one actually does a good job. Love the quick bleed and built in pump so you can adjust on the fly. Down side is the cushion does walk back a little but I’m sure with a little strap adjustment I can remedy that minor annoyance. Overall though, happy with my purchase.
