It's worked pretty good but it's lasted a little over 2 years and the control panel is out. There goes another $500.00 down the tube. They just don't make anything to last anymore. I'd recommend the extended warranty coverage.

This is a great range - induction is such a good way to cook and the control this range gives you is as good as gas if not better. After about 4 years we kept getting this awful EO21 error message - when this occurs the oven still works, but the burners don't and the range beeps annoyingly with no way to stop it. If you search online, you keep getting told that you need to replace this, board or that board - and they are all hundreds of dollars. We kept a dehumidifier right next to the range to help make it work, but the humid weather of this summer meant the dehumidifier couldn't keep up and the EO21 error won out. In desperation we took the back of the range hoping to find something we could fix. We did. The first picture shows the User Interface Board - it send signals to the induction burners to work. On the far left of the board is a black connector J2. Several wires, black and one red come out of the connector and go to the switches/knobs that turn the burners on. Just past the the right edge of the board you can see that the wires show little bits of cooper coloration - for some reason the insulation has failed and bare wire is showing and in humid weather the amount of water vapor in the air was presumably enough to allow a short circuit! You can clearly see the wires are damaged in the second higher magnification picture. The problem was solved with 2 cents worth of electric insulating tape, not hundreds of dollars of board replacements. I call on Whirlpool, the manufacturer of these induction ranges ,to fix this manufacturing defect and also ask Amazon, with more power, to like wise call on Whirlpool to fix this defect.

I have mixed feelings about this range- it is inexpensive and overall, looks nice so an easy upgrade. However, when the oven is on, the outside of the oven gets really hot. As in, so hot is makes me nervous with my young kids. Otherwise, the range has cooked very well, baking evenly and the elements get hot quickly.

First one came in and needed replacement. Happens sometimes. I love the look and features of this stove. I haven't had it long enough to use all the features, but all the burners work, the convection oven did a nice job on brownies. I need a little help on the convection conversion feature, and the timer. As soon as I master that, I will update. Delivery was done relatively painlessly. The delivery people checked the outlet for prongs and installed it right there. I took off all the wrapping, and was glad to do it, as the first one was done before they brought it in. I am glad to see Sears hook up with Amazon as they are better to schedule delivery with, and their service has improved. Well played Sears, well played. Happy too that the price had gone down $200.00 while this was waiting in my cart. I am happy with this stove. It replaced my 24 year old stove that worked, but was just old.

I’m getting used to this stove but have a couple of complaints. It was delivered in July but couldn’t be installed until August when the new kitchen was ready for it. I didn’t realize the paperwork was glued to the back of it in a plastic bag. Tried my best to pry the plastic off but come get it all so now every time we use a back burner or oven, the chemical smell from burning plastic mix with food smells and smell up the house. Who in their right mind does this? Can’t pull it out because it is so wedged in there , plus it scrapes up the new lvt flooring. Also, the black painted surface around the knobs started coming on day one! It looks speckled....very cheaply made. And yes, it takes longer than my old wall oven to heat up.

We replaced a 23 yr old range with coil burners. This range is soooo much nicer. Love the black ceramic cooktop. Followed mfgs. directions before first use and have had NO problems. Heats up so quickly, really have to keep an eye on the stovetop. Love the oven and ease of rack movement. The oven preheats quickly, and seems to cook a little hotter than the old one; probably due to the old one's age. This is taking a bit of getting used to, but find if I adjust the cooking time by about 5 min. less than the minimum cook time, things come out fine. Haven't had a problem with the front of the stove getting hot, near the handle, as some reviewers have mentioned. The storage drawer below the oven is fine. All my pots and pans fit, just like in the old oven. The drawer is sturdy and moves easily. The delivery and install couldn't have been better. The installers arrived within the "time window" and called when they were 1/2 hr. away. Hooked up the new oven and hauled the old one away. Gave me enough time to clean behind the old range, prior to installation. They evened up the new range (with a level) and made sure it was the same height as my countertops. They were in and out in about 25 min. The install and haul away were part of the price paid; NOT extra. Couldn't have been a better experience!! The only complaint I have, is with Amazon, and how they dump ALL range reviews into the same pile. Some were for convection ovens, others for different sizes. All these differences make comparisons to what one is considering, difficult to sift through. Amazon, get your review process cleaned up!!
