This fountain is beautiful to look at and easy to put together. That being said, it does requires some adjustments to make it better.First, while you are assembling the fountain, turn the pump to the *low* setting. On high, water does tend to splash. If you have it inside, turning the pump to low is imperative, to keep splashing down. This is much harder to do after assembly, so do it while assembling.Second, float two or 3 small (~2”x2”) sponge pieces in the top reservoir. This will reduce splashing as well.Third, buy additional river rocks. There are just enough to fill the bottom tray, but I have found that adding a few of them on top of the “splash screen”, so that the water hits them instead of the screen, produces a more pleasant sound.Also, keep in mind that this is a LOUD fountain. Even with the pump on low, it is loud. If you prefer a softer sound, this fountain isn’t for you.

So at first it was splashing like mad - so a trick is to cut about 2" of a sponge and place inside the upper reservoir on each side below the "splash screen'. That shortens the distance the water falls and keeps it from splashing out front. Second trick is get some stones and put in the bottom tank where the pump goes. The water splashing hard on the metal bottom is a terrible sound. Not at all soothing.

Update: Sad to say that it has rusted and the lighting element no longer works. Super bummed out. I plan to reach out and ask about any type of warranty. I was not expecting it to rust this badly in less than a year.Original review: I just received the fountain today and it is beautiful. It was very simple to assemble and matched the product description. The only issue is that there was a chip on the slate at the very top that is driving me buts to look at. Hopefully I will hear back from the company about fixing that. (update-did not hear back)

This may be my first one star review. I usually read reviews before purchasing. Must have skipped that step. This is cheap tim, the “stone” backdrop is plastic and no matter what my very competent husband did, water splashes out. The box was left outside in the rain which is no fault of Amazon however packaging it back up and sending it back’s going to be a little tricky but I want this cheap thing out of here.

Beautiful. Fits perfect in the corner of our patio. The little holes on top do get clogged with bugs easily (to be expected) but they are easily cleaned up. We have had this up and running for over a month now and no problems at all. My husband installed the switch a little differently then suggested so turning the light on and off was easier. The unit arrived without a pump but the seller fixed the issue right away.

I purchased this item however when I did I left the box in the garage and it get thrown away if it was not I would have send it back. Not worth the money the I paid. The lighting is not very brite at night and the water ends up shooting out no matter how much I adjust the flow of the pump. Look elsewhere
