Easy to use and does the job. I use it to secure my desktop, 2 monitors, a sound bar and all cables for the mouse, keyboard and camera. I thought that the product was reasonably priced.

Me decidí por este producto por que puedo ponérselo a varios equipos de oficina, ojo para laptops ultrabook al parecer no entra el seguro, ten cuidado, para monitores, laptops entre otros si entra el seguro.

I work in an open office that a lot of people move through daily. Like many similar places, I suspect a theft would most likely be a crime of opportunity rather than a serious burglary. As such, this lock does a great job of discouraging the casual thief. It's simply a lot easier to steal from the desk next to me where nothing is locked down than from my desk. To this end, the Kensington lock does a great job - five stars. It won't stop the serious burglar who brings a bolt cutter, but if he or she is that invested, they can have my monitor and mouse.

My choice for the best way to secure a computer from casual theft/mischief. I really wish it came with a barrel case screw and a few keyed case scres but I bought those separately and it makes for a great way to secure your computer at gaming conventions. The adhesive mount can probably fit that need, but I dont like to add such a thing to my case. The mouse/keyboard cables a captured as well making for a full solution.

This is not "Kryptonite" bike lock stuff here. It is more of a subtle reminder, um hey don't be walking off with my stuff. While the cable itself would take a decent amount of effort to cut the plastic plate and small metal tipped locking inserts are the weak points and don't inspire confidence. The connection of the cable and lock mechanism seems particularly unsubstantial. The first unit I received I could not turn the key to get the lock off the cable. It would turn as if it were full of sand but not release. Had to send the first set back. Upon receiving the replacement I immediately lubricated the lock with some spray and that made all the difference in its operation. The key actually turns to the right not left to release the lock, perhaps the arrow in the instructions is meant to show the barrel rotation. Again this set will probably keep the casual clepto at bay but a determined thief and a good hard yank will most likely, and noisily get your stuff.

I got this set couple of months ago and I used it this morning. Easy to setup. It has only one adhesive anchor. I used mine for the desktop computer. In the images it shows one metal piece that is used for the monitor. I couldn't find anywhere to use it on my Samsung screen. Not sure which brands or models can have this piece attached to it.I wish if there were at least two adhesive anchors included with the set because not every device can have the places for attaching the other types of anchors.

I bought this for my Son to use at college to secure his desktop to keep it from being stolen. It attached easily, and it has been working well. We purchased a property insurance for his personal items at college and one of the things listed in the policy said that items had to have evidence that they were stolen. This product would have to be broken off of the back of his desktop and if that was done there would be obvious sign of theft and evidence of tampering. This product has kept his computer safe so far.

Just received and initial impressions...The cable itself is relatively thick, sheathed in plastic and not greasy or with odor. The biggest question I had with the product was as to how the adapters work.First they're made of metal - that's good. It's made of 2 plates that are attached. You extend the plate with the T-end into the K-slot on the device. Once in, turn it 90deg. and then slide the other plate in. That does 2 -things - it locks the adapter in the slot and also lines up the holes on the 2 plates to slide the cable thru. The key to this security method is that the cable fits tightly in the hole so that the thief cannot slide back the 2nd plate and then unturn the T-end plate and remove the lock. There's about 2-mm extra space when the cable is routed - but I think that's sufficient to stop the unsliding.I haven't used the plastic sticker - from other reviews it seems quite useless. Instead of this catch-all gizmo, would be better if they included a 3rd adapter.I don't care to lock my mouse and keyboard - but I'm sure that works fine.Overall I think this unit will do the job and stop all except the most determined with bold cutters and ample time.

The cable is great, the metal connectors are great, but the plastic adhesive connector is a joke. I cleaned everything with the included alcohol swab and adhered the plastic connector per the instructions; it looked like it would work but I wondered about the durability. The next time I visited the printer, the plastic connector was still on the cable, but not attached to the printer. Throw that piece away unless you need security theater because it provides no real security.

Pretty well designed, actually. Includes widgets to secure two devices equipped with Kensington lock slots, with the ability to add a Kensington lock slot to a device without one via the adhesive panel. An additional widget to secure corded devices like mice and keyboards. Handy for securing many of the components in a standard office desktop setup. Not really meant to secure a laptop (although you could) because the slot widgets are fiddly and small and not suited to be frequent removal. Not sure how much faith to have in the adhesive Kensington slot panel. We bought this kit specifically for this feature but there's nothing particularly impressive about the adhesive. I was really in the market for an add-a-slot product that could be permanently screwed into a metal case but couldn't find any such product.(In a related comment to the guys who designed the Makerbot 2X: would it have been so hard to include a Kensington slot!?)

Well I'm no connoisseur of computer locking equipment, but this kit seems to be working just fine. Installation was a breeze, the equipment seems very well-built, and it was very much within my budget! I wasn't sure exactly how it all worked, so for those of you in that same boat - don't worry about it, it's easy. There should be a little rectangular hole on the back of your monitor and computer case. All you need to do is push the pins from this kit in vertically, turn them 90 degrees, then slide the cable through the hole in the pin to lock it in place. Thread the cable through all the pins, wrap it around a table brace or something similar that's enclosed on both ends, and viola! Your computer is secured. I'm sure there are heavier-duty locks out there for equipment of higher-value, but this works just fine for securing my ordinary desktop at school.Moral of the story: If you're looking for a quality lock at a reasonable price, this is it!
